Don't shoot the messenger, whatever Fr Corapi has done in his personal life it does not negate the message he preached. I used to love watching his sermons on EWTN.
If a courier came from the lottery carrying a cheque for €1,000,000 but the courier had all over tattoos, an electronic tag on his ankle and knife scars would turn him a way and say "no keep the cheque, I don’t like the look of you"?
Pray for him and don't dismiss his teaching because he may not have lived up to them.
as far as I know, the Catholic Church recognizes the validity of the 2 sacraments of the protestant churches. namely Baptism and Matrimony in the spirit of ecumenism. but Catholics are required and mandated to be wed in a catholic church ,not in other churches. because if you're a catholic and you have your wedding in a protestant church to avoid hassle or just want to speed things up, you are committing a mortal sin by apostasy.
