As someone who just found this randomly...can someone explain what's going on? Why are the rods/staves speaking? Why are they loading bullets? And why was the sword and hammer speaking German(?)
well, the magic devices in this anime got AI, they load bullets because they're using an experimental extension which uses compressed magic bullets to empower their spells for a short time and the sword and hammer are talking in german while the other devices talk english cuz they're from different ancient cultures (you know, in anime everyone on earth talks japanese, why can't people from other planets talk german? XD)
Your description is a bit off. Nanoha and Fate didn't even know about the upgrading of the cartridge system. The intelligent devices wanted the upgrade on their own, and Space-Time Administration approved and let Nanoha and Fate know about it.
@samuelwantx Fate-chan and Nanoha-chan use mid-childa weapon.Basically it speak english.The wolkenreitter (and hayate)use ancient belka which speak German..
not to mention..modern belka can speak english (in strikers)
