Kinda of confused at how you got only just above 15 for the week. My Dad had just bought a '12 optioned exactly like the tester (minus navi and in olympic white). And I usually average around 18-19(20 when it was warmer). Otherwise it is a great car and I don't want to give it up.
Though not being able to get intelilink fited (even if i have to pay) after the fact is not sitting well with me. Though a Verano would be a good first personal car. Will you get to review that?
I like this crossover a lot but it can get pricey. I would probably but the Ford Escape of Jeep Liberty since they offer a lot more discounts. Still, it is much better than most of the Japanese competition, but the Koreans have some good alternatives to this.
oh man your style in this video WAAAAAAYY excellence then the Buick lacrosse Steven keep it like that man you are the best always i hope my comment will reach to you my friend good luck to you always :-)
$37,000 for a gmc? The interior is cheap black plastic and the exterior doesn't say $37,000. It looks like a $25,000 suv. Not to mention gms drop like a rock in water with resale you'll be waisting your money. If im spending $37,000 their are so many more cars worth that. It is also pretty pathetic that a v6 direct injection engine is only getting 15mpg. Ugh this suv is a hot mess!
@FredTS If you're looking for high class from GMs, look into Buicks or Cadillacs. GMCs aren't meant to be high class. The slogan 'Professional Grade' just means GMCs are expected to be good, reliable, well built cars. Nothing high-class about it.
I never liked GM's strategy of having vehicles that are larger than the rest of the competition. It's true your are getting more metal but if I was looking for a compact SUV, I wouldn't even look at this Terrain for its more bulky size. Not to mention the new CR-V has almost 6 cubic ft of rear cargo area but it is considerably smaller than the Terrian like Steve said.
My 2002 Ford Explorer is better than this and it's actually a real SUV according to how many people drive them, but thanks steve for another great video :D
@stevehammes You don't say. Actually, the question was: why the effects are not consistent? If you wanted to shoot in Top Gear style you better have graded the whole video.

@thegmcar it's stylish than RAV4, CRV ? you know what your argument sounds like? 'no, human shit doesn't smell bad because it is cleaner than dog shit and pig shit'. Equinox, RAV4, CR-V all are ugly as hell.
wouldnt it be nice if gmc made a DIESEL.. . ., guess its too much to ask of them. i dont see why making a nice diesel is so hard for gmc, i mean the emissions regs suck but its doable.
@d0ugz24 Yeah at $37K the Terrain's interior isn't spectacular however if you consider the fact that you can get one at just over $25K (more of the base model), its very acceptable. Its kinda like a Camry...great deal in the mid $20K range but when you tick all the option boxes, you find yourself deep in to the $33K range and not looking at a great deal anymore.
Would be nice if GMC can muscle in with a 6.2L V8 version to compete with the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which appears to be the competition. Having said that, the MPG is predictable given that the AWD has always been less fuel efficient to begin with.
Don't care for SUVs but when I have a family and kids, I'm sure my opinion will change. This a fine, less expensive option vis a vis the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
@triplexxxsatyr two different leagues. yeah awd sucks, they need the type of system audi uses, where 4wd gets the same or higher mpg than 2wd. you dont need a 6.2l v8, thats huge for a vehicle of that size. they need a more efficient engine thats all, maybe turbo charged, or even better-diesel :P
WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT A QUIET VEHICLE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? MORE POWER MEANS NEED MORE NOISE!!!

Steve, which SUV is your favourite?
MikMayhem46 3 weeks ago
@MikMayhem46 I like the Toyota Highlander for midsize family duty and a Range Rover for real SUV work.

the rims are ugly the rest is cool though
MikMayhem46 3 weeks ago
Its decent, but I'd rather have a 2013 Ford Flex for $37,000. I'll get much more value for my money.

Ugly and cheap interior, and ugly exterior. I don't see how GMC can be considered high class.

The first shot has steel blue shade. The second shot has yellow cast and vignetting. The third shot has regular video look. Um... why?

I like our Sorento Better. Loaded EX V6 was 34K and we got it for 29K, can't beat that :)
techdude6693 3 weeks ago
And in 2012 a small SUV should absolutely not be getting 15 MPG. That's barely better than any large SUV.
pillowsnake94 3 weeks ago
For $37k you could get a real SUV. But I'm sure it would cost a lot less without all those options and makes more sense than a CR-V or an Escape.
