  • I thought my old man was kidding saying both of those were dandelions.

  • thhis is trippy!!! woooowwww pretty!!!!

  • This is very beautiful. Well done!! Hyper realistic with that azure background.

  • WAIT!!!!!! are dandiions and those yellow flowers the same thing???????????

  • Well thats just amazing. First it opens into a flower than it closes then it opens up again with the things people love to blow away.

  • when you do a timelapse, is it just a really special type of video camera? and then you can speed up the process of things on the computer or is it a bunch of pictures? because this timelapse was beautiful, and it looks like you left your video camera on for a long time. haha.

  • @jammyz444 Hi Jammy, I use 35mm Nikon digital cameras rather than video camera. I take 1 frame every several minutes depending on how long the plant takes to grow grow. Then I run the still frames at 25fps to make it into a movie. Thank you for your interest

    Best wishes

  • @neilbromhall thank you! your timelapses are incredible to watch. [:

    thanks for posting!

  • @jammyz444 Hi Jammy,

Thank you for your kind comments. I'm delighted that you like my time-lapses. I've just started an ambitious Acorn germinating time-lapse. It will take several months to grow. I'll add it to YouTube if I have any luck.

    Best wishes

    Neil

  • @neilbromhall i shall be awaiting it! [:

  • i dont get it. how does it turn from yellow to all puffy?

ive been on youtube to find that, but no one has posted any videos showing the actual transition (if there is one at all) from yellow flower to gray clock

  • @ArroganceClause Hi I've done another time-lapse from flower to seed head in one single shot. please see:- youtube.com/watch?v=UQ_QqtXoyQw

Basically when the flower has been fertilised the flower closes. Over a period of 3-4 weeks the petals die off and the seeds with it's parachute form. When ripe the dandelion clock opens.

  • Thank you Neil, that was beautiful and inspiring. Sending our best regards and praise from Toronto.

  • @jessicacohen1985

Thank you for your kind words from Toronto. Best wishes Neil

  • fantastic! I'm sharing. I'm glad your copyright info is on there,

  • @gardengeri

  • question: is this the same flower throughout the whole video or two different flowers?

i know the yellow dandelions turn into white parachute balls, but i've never been able to witness the actual process.

if it is the same flower, where is there such a big cut in the clip?

all in all, cool video. thanks!!!

  • @irocknonstop This sequence was done using two flowers. I have however done another Dandelion sequence which I've added to YouTube where I've used the same flower which produces a seedhead. It took about 10 days for the seeds to mature before they ripened into the Dandelion clock. Best wishes
