How does hexavalent chromium got into the story? sorry, i'm not a very technical person when it comes to chemistry :-) is that a reaction of water and stainless steel during electrolysis?
Hexavalent Chromium VI compounds are highly toxic. Breathing in chromium (VI) compounds can damage and irritate your nose, throat, lungs, stomach and intestines, kidney and liver damage & have adverse effects on the respiratory and the immune systems and can cause cancer
Yes I know all about this...I'm not breathing the gas I am burning it,I also bubble my gas thru 2 or 3 bubblers and thru a gas dryer, to eliminate any possibility of breathing anything.......
Besides after a cell has been conditioned properly the amount of Hexavalent chromium is minimal...I wouldn't be messing with this stuff if I didn't know what I was doing ....I am not a novice with hho cells ...
yeah I have thought about that , I am thinking of just running 2 separate lines to the reservoir..I had it doing 10.91 LPM yesterday 123.8v 13.2 amps 1 liter 5.5 secs its on another video
he is using a bridge rectifier, you can't turn the volts up and down like a variac, but it is effect now the less. Control methods are being worked on.
I am using a rectifier, i have a plug-in end on it and have the amp meter wired all together ..All i do is hook my reservoir up , my bubbler up and plug it in ..I plan on buying a variac when I get the extra cash to do so..I get a 2.0 - 2.3 volts per plate , in the video i had 2.0..
awsome torch !!! but I think D3 and I got you for extreme crazy insane volumes of gas out of the torch ... we were pushing so much HHO through a .035 orafice, the velocity was blowing out the flame ... know it sounds impossible, but its true ... we had to turn our production down to keep it lit ... gotta love that HHO torch ...
yeah,I love it.Done a lpm test right after the video and pumping out 7.79 lpm...I tried several tip sizes, every one flashed back except for this one..
we finally got frustrated with the .035 tip ... that was biggest we had ... drilled it out to about 1/32 inch ... had a great bit broad flame on the darn thing ... we were all set to have some REAL torch fun when we got rained out ... oh well ...
I may to break bad and get a torch setup like you got ... with as much gas as we are making these days, I am confident it will work well ... we were pushing anywhere from 10-20 lpm ... scarry volumes of gas ... many dead bubblers !!!
10-20 lpm is a scarry amount of gas..7-8 lpm is scarry to me..I had a homemade one built with an air nozzle end had a 1/16" hole Man it snapped back first light.Yeah luckly new bubbler held up..My next step is to do a reset valve like you guys do
nice I love it and I know you are proud of that cell because I too know what it is like to have to cut and drill and deburr and those plates then you have to cut all your gaskets I love it just love man nice job and I like how you put the space between them sweet later derbydoug1977
It aint the budget ,Its luck..I come across a guy that had a 4'x10' sheet of 304L 16ga for only 50 bucks ,was at a recycle center was a factory stamped perfect sheet..half the sheet is now this cell.....
this is a crazy thought, would you be able to have a generator run off hho gas and use the electricity to run your cells??

how thick are the gaskets between plates, and what material are you using?? thanks keep it up! d

I am using 1/16" 60 durometer Neoprene rubber rated for 214 degrees F..

good job,if you disconnect that T and measure each cell apart,I bet you have more LPM because of a flow restriction in that T
Just a thought

how are you powering it? it looks like 2 series cells kinda like scarecrow. But what are you using to power it? i do not see a variac.

sounds like a good way to go to start! And 6.6mmw? that is really awesome! look forward to the next video! Great work.

awesome! Love it! Keep up the great work!

Let's see that in your car that is a BIG cell.

hehe actually ssc it was a 3/32 drill, it would be very good for welding with rods, it spread the heat out much better.
Once you get into this area jd, learning how to controll it becomes very important.

Wild man,,, Totally WILD. Now I have to make one.
I like the configuration of your cell.
NICE!!!

wait till you see that thing pumpin 16LPM,its nutty. Nice job keep cuttin, do you have a capacitor in the rectifier setup?
d3adp001 3 years ago
No i did not have a cap setup here i do have a 350v 8200uf cap.I may hook it up next next run
jdcmusicman 3 years ago
that would be a great cap for this.
d3adp001 3 years ago
yeah I am going try the cap with it ,if i get time to do it this week
