So embarrassing. Because you're using your other account to comment. Doih'

  • I have to say , you like a lot of strange movies. lol This is another movie that I have not seen and probably will not like. However , I want to see it just because so many people has said its a movie that has to be seen. I hated Twin Peaks. So, I may not like this one.

Your not making guessing the next one easy. Black & wight and someone biting someone. I guess Night of the Living Dead. Unless you just made it B&W to match the rest of the video.

  • This is one of those movies I have always wanted to watch, but never got around to it. I'm ashamed of it really. I guess I can watch it on YouTube now. David Lynch could have created a better Watchmen movie. Definitely better than that other guy. Snyder something I think. Whatever.

  • Really ? I would think that David Lynch would try to make Watchmen his own and completely change it into something different. I liked Watchmen. It was not perfect but, I think it was very faithful to the book.

Oh well, to each his own.

  • He would definitely change it up like crazy. I actually don't mind changing up the story and characters as long the movie is good. And as long as it's in the same spirit as the source material.

  • There is good change, like the Dark Knight. Then there is bad change, like Batman & Robin. I don't like it when Directors " change it up like crazy ". Directors should learn that when they make a movie that is based on source material it is not there job to change everything to make it theirs. The source material belongs to someone else. It is the directors job to interpret, to translate, not to change. Its OK to change some tings just not a lot.

  • Thanks for the add friend. I understand where you're coming from. I've had this conversation too many times to count. But in the case of Watchmen, out of respect for Alan Moore, wouldn't it be better to not make a movie at all.

  • I like it when director's change the story, as long as it is in order to create a good film. I think Ang Lee's Hulk was fantastic, and the origin change was fine because it worked dramatically on film, and I think Lee still kept the essence of what made the Hulk the Hulk.

I think Snyder is amazing at recreating visually from page to the screen, but the only 'director's signature' thing he has is to slow the film down during fight scenes. wow...

Next week's movie is in colour

Yeah as long as the movie is good all is forgiven. I see Zack Snyder as an entertainer type and not an artist. Watchmen to me is art, so a movie of it should have an artist for a director. Which means smaller audience. Oh well I would watch it.

  • I would watch it too. A lot. Watchmen by Lynch, or someone like Spike Jonz, or Wes Anderson. I think a Wes Anderson Watchmen would have been great. Extreme detail with a sense of humour. The characters all in latex costumes that made them look ridiculous. I would have LOVED that.

  • Sounds like a lot of fun. How about Wes Anderson making a Tick Movie? Do you think he would make a good Mad Man or X-Factor?

  • I did not like Ang Lee's Hulk. I did not have a big problem with the story. I hated the visual style. Too many split- screens and the Hulk looked like a cartoon. What's with his dad turning into Absorbing-man ? Sigh, and the Hulk poodle. Also, am I the only one who misses Rick Jones ? He was never in a live action Hulk. Not the TV show, none of the movies, nothing.

    Watchmen was awesome.

  • No problem on the friend add.

I agree, since Alan Moore is the original creator they should have respected his wishes. On the other hand I think Alan Moore should get over himself. I think he should be grateful that they like his work so much that they want to make movie of it. If nothing else it would make more people interested in his original work.

  • I miss Rick Jones. One day we'll see him on-screen and done well. Maybe the Avenger movie???

I think Wes Anderson would be the perfect guy to make a Tick movie. I'd love to see Spike Jonz do Madman, and X-Factor??? That's a tough one. Maybe Richard Linklater??

  • After I wrote that the more Wes Anderson made sense for the Tick. I haven't read X-Factor. I only mentioned that because of Mike Allred's art and I was think of projects for Wes Anderson. I know it's supposed to be darker. I'm pretty sure I can think of a director if I scratch my head long enough.

My comic book store owner was shocked when I told him I haven't read Mike Allred's run. He convinced me to buy the first issue. I still haven't read it. I'm going to have to remedy that.

  • Alan Moore has his eccentricities that make him look like a pre-madonna. I like that about him a lot of times. Seriously I listen to Kanye West. I have all his CD's. And David Lynch is like that too. Alan Moore has his beef with the comics industry and David Lynch with Hollywood. LOL I can see them getting along and bitching about each other's industry all day long. Kidding by the way. :-)

  • Yeah you are ;p
