Why air it at such a ridiculous time, when most kids are at school already? The typical schedule for morning cartoons in NYC was from 6-9AM. I know that by 8AM I was headed out for school.
WWOR also showed the pre-'49 Warner cartoon library on Mario Cantone's Sunday morning "STEAMPIPE ALLEY" (1988-'93). "BUGS' BUDDIES" began airing on Monday, September 10, 1990, 'wtcvidman'.
I'm nearly 22, just old enough to remember Bugs' Buddies. Luckily my mom recorded everything I watched as a kid. I've got lots of WORR programming on VHS. Thanks for the memories.
Do you know what year this was? I remember wanting to watch Bug's Buddies all the time as a kid, but it was on at 9AM while I was in school. I did tape 1 or 2 episodes once I learned how to program the VCR. I'm guessing this is from 1987 or 1988. I have the bumper & closing of Bugs Bunny Daffy Duck And Friends, which also aired on WWOR. I also have a bumper of Bugs & Porky from 1987, which aired on WNYW (channel 5). IIRC that show was on in the afternoons. I loved those programs.
Ah, nice move. I actually did the same thing many times myself when I upload videos to Youtube to confirm the year of something I'm uncertain of. I forgot to do it for this one, so thanks for looking it up.
@wtcvidman Plus I should've remembered what year this was anyway, because I had moved out of NJ for a year and a half to Florida from late 89 to early 91, and I remember this promo airing through having watched the national WWOR EMI feed, but I don't think this was cleared on that feed, just the metro NYC area.
Back in the late 1980's, WPHL-TV acquired the rights to the pre and post-48 WB cartoon library after WGBS/WPSG-TV was moved out while TBS and TNT was showing the pre-48 cartoons and so does Nickelodeon for the post-48 and the Porky redrawns and "The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show" on ABC Saturday mornings.
WPHL-TV ran a slew of redrawn Porky Pig cartoons right up until the move to Nickelodeon when it was shown in the 90's as "Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon".

After several years of airing pre-48 WB cartoons as well as a few post-48 cartoons, WWOR-TV ended a series of WB cartoons in 1992 or 1993 when it was replaced by Tom & Jerry from WPIX-TV and it continued right up until the end of WWOR-TV as an independent station.
I've never seen that sow for such a long time when I saw on my old 13' B&W TV. This was from around 1990 where WWOR-TV was added the following shows to the lineup including "Merrie Melodies", "Mr. Bogus" and "Mighty Mouse".

I worked at WWOR from late '89 through mid '91, so this promo dates from somewhere within that period.

@wtcvidman Just looked back on the computer calendar, September 10 fell on a Monday in 1990, so that's when this promo took place.
