He did go under the knife.

His normal facial genes come from his father, and grandfather (who were by no means handsome men).

In fact they all had feminine features to them (sort of like trannys).

When his debut movie gangothri came out, while Arjun did perform O.K, his face was almost unbearable to look at.

Even his pictures from that time when he appeared in public were almost humiliating.

@msvinmon SO.. he made the brave decision to perfect his face i.e through plastic surgery. Initially his Doc in London only wanted to give him somewhat manly features. So they changed his cheeks, and extended his forehead. By the time Arya released Arjun had changed a bit. But he was still not being accepted as a "hero" due to his face. His look for Happy, which simply added hair dye to his arya face, caused severe vomiting.

@msvinmon At the time, while looks were not a big deal since he stuck towards playing loverboy type characters, and the fact that he was a debut, coupled with his almost transexual looks.. is what forced this severe criticism to come forth. With the release of Desamudru, Arjun went under the knife once more. He needed to evolve badly. So this time they changed his neck line, and nose.He did look somewhat presentable now, even the audience saw substantial changes in his facial features.

However he still did not have the "cute-ness" he wanted, so for Parugu he shaped his nose once more, and started hiring personal hair stylists, while making frequent trips towards salons for skin care products. After Parugu, and prior to Arya 2 minor cosemtic changes were done. The Arjun you see today is the one from Parugu onwards. he came a long way.

HIS COUSIN... HOWEVER.. saw what Arjun went through... SO he HAD PLASTIC SURGERY towards perfection MUCH BEFORE his debut in films.

He also got rid of his transexual natural genetic looks.

yeah arya 2 is a cult film.

its getting better recognition/receptions now.. than when it released lol.

It was a flop at the box office.

The producer did not make profit, nor did the distributors.

It made approximately 15ish crores.

Desamudru did 21 crores.

@msvinmon haha yeah i just didn't expect you to be online. the more "intelligent' film is obvs arya 2. but DM was lapped up by the masses in Andhra (not incredibly well.. but good for an allu arjun film). Revenue in the state still depends on the masses.

DM had the massy fights etc. It also was Puri J's ( dir. of pokiri.. original version of Sallu's wanted).. next film.. so the buzz was high.

In any case, I find Arjun to be O.K.. but not a huge fan tho lol.
