  • So, Bill, once you decided to leave, how long did it take you to get back to the metor and then back home? Though I didn't vote for him, it would have been interesting to be at his inauguration - except I really hate being in humongous crowds like that. Thanks for the commentary.

  • Garth was not lip singing!

  • you were so much closer than I was. I was all the way back near the Washington Monument. It seemed like you enjoyed yourself, I sure did!!!

  • if you watch some of my other videos, you will notice that I enjoy myself every single day, everywhere I go, everything I do. Thanks for watching. even the one where I'm just driving around DC doing errands.

  • Bill, did you begin this adventure at the Rossyln Metro? That looked like the Rosslyln escalator, but I certainly haven't seen them all.

My word. From President Obama to V. Gene Robinson, this has truly been a landmark inauguration.

  • we began at Pentagon City Mall, and exited at Foggy Bottom, I do believe.

Yes, it was great to be part of history in the making.

  • Comical & Fun! This guy sounds like Alton Brown...and his son is a riot too

  • Thanks, very much. That's actually my nephew.

  • Wildbill, that was Josh Groban singing My Country Tis of Thee. One of the best singers in the world!!

  • Thank you!

  • Another Fag in love with himself.

  • Me? Hey, thanks for watching.

  • Well, Wildbill, you are really quite funny! Can't wait until your next installment...:)

  • welcome to my fan club!

  • Ahhh...I know how you feel. I was there too. We actually got there a little bit earlier and squeezed through the crowd to get close to the stage, but it was still overcrowded. I was one of the "short people" that could only see the shoulders of people ahhaha. But despite that, it was still a great experience and I can't wait for Tuesday. I'll be there too.

  • I thought that was you. Were you wearing a hat and gloves?

  • I especially like your running commentary on who was performing ~ the "B" rundown. You should seriously think about a career in documentary film-making! You were great!

  • Thank you very much. I'm doing one for the inaugural, too. Just wait!

  • Thanks, Casey. We'll see how many people watch this video before I quit my day job.

  • Interesting. Tomorrow's going to be crazy.

  • Yes, and I'm looking forward to it!

  • Thanks for sharing the experience!

  • You're welcome!

  • Gee, Bill, that was really nice! You are a brave guy to battle the crowds when you had no idea how many would be there. I am surprised you could see anything, but you gave us a good sense of the day!

  • That was really my goal, to give the sense of the day. Thank you.

  • It was live on tv here in Holland. It looked cold.... VERY cold. I think I may have seen more even though I was farther away and still I would have loved to swap places with you. YOU WERE THERE

Very nice video. Thanks Bill. Garth brooks was nice by the way.

  • Thank you. I *was* there. Some things are worth going through the experience.

  • How awesome! I'm not good with standing in lines or shoulder to shoulder crowds. So I'm very happy watching everything here at home comfy cozy. We are having lovely 80' weather here. My TV has been my front row seat to many historical events over my life so far. My first memory watching Queen Elizabeth II coronation to this memorable event. Thank you for sharing your experience. Karolyn

  • You're very welcome!

  • omg the Mall is a mile and a half long!.. LOL

    omg. there's bad acid LMAO

Nice parallel to 'nice' events.. LOL

That was awesome!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • glad you liked it. I was half a mile from the Lincoln Memorial. The distance from Lincoln to the west face of the capital is just over 2 miles. It brings back fun memories of my "running video" from March 2007.

  • Your brother in law has a head only a mother could love. I'm very jealous of you getting your wallet stolen while I'm just sitting in front of my computer.

  • My wallet wasn't really stolen, I just thought that was a funny thing to say.

  • That is what tickled me and made me jealous. I never even had that fantasy. I think I'll sleep on it.
