  • what the hell are you people on about this is a ira song about the when the daily mail used to go to ireland and report back to the uk about the risings in the 1970's

  • This song was a parody.

The actual Mail reporter stayed in Hollyhead and wrote his pieces from bits of misinformation gleaned from ferry passengers.

Written and sung around the pubs in the early 1920s.

It was later proved that the Mail supported the first official Irish Government during the civil war, - without actually having a reporter in Ireland!

  • very funny song

  • Mrdrawde prehaps it would be more accurate to say that there is the class who did not work a lot during school and now have to work constantly and the class that worked hard in school and after school and as result no longer need to work

  • @doomheartotter That may be so but why do people always kick down the ladder???

What about the greedy bankers and corrupt politicians? The unelected royals etc.. These must be the first priority.

  • good song

  • I thought the Daily Heil catered to the middle classes?

  • There is no middle class in my opinion. There are only two classes, the people that have to work to survive and those who do not.

  • ive never had a job, what would i come under?

  • Then you are probably a "ragged trousered philanthropist" ;)

  • i've been called worse

  • @h60562 in scotland every one has to work

  • @mrdrawde Too true!

  • good lord what a chickin'
