I remember downloading this song from Bear Share, remember that old online shareware site? This was one of the first songs I found that linked me to DJ Infiniti and Rick West. Thank God for the Internet because I don't know what I been missing! Florida Breakbeats are the bomb!!!
The Club name that was at Downtown Cocoa in late 90s was first Outter Limits and changed to club Impact. I used to troll, dance and drop 100-200 beans & go back home with pockets full of cash. I saw Ricky West, Infiinity, Huda Huddia, Noel Sanger, Dubtribe, Friction & Spice & the list goes on. Craisiest shit & the best music ever! Cops coming into the club with masks several times a night. I belive at the end of 1998 owner Randy Johnson got kill over some money, they cut his head off. very sad!
anybody remember club lava back in the day? Storm would close at 1 and everybody would pile in cars and go to Merrit island to lava, they opened at like 1 or 2 and closed at 4 or 5... an adult arcade it said,, yea rite adult allright. that place was the shit, still got pics
One after hours clubs off hwy 60...Illusions(which was a bottle club/alternative lifestyle club had a black n white checkered dancefloor. They also would open up a huge ass warehouse for big events
i remember going to clubs in Tampa/Ybor city on a weekly basis.... used to hit up Club Kaos then go to afterhours AV-02..... does anyone remember that afterhours club Red Alert? (it was off a highway by the fairgrounds i beleive)
everytime i here florida breaks now, i regret selling my technics and most of my vinyl.... i still have this vinyl in a crate though... love this song!
I was raised in Sarasota,Fl and my favortie was mike n charlie"Just Funkin Records/sarasota, c4 bnice, mojo, fixx and 321 crew, sharaz, rick west, tony faline,Magic Mike, huda hudia then moved on to drum n bass , dub step, ragga, liquid, and mash up.. thats where the real bass lines come into play... reese.. mmmmmm
rip fl breaks??? where are you from?? most people don't even have a clue about florida breakz!! the amen break will never die homie!!! watch the amen brothers on youtube and then tell me your insight!! lol
If any of you haven't already assuming that you like infiniti. You may also want to check out, Huda Hudia,Friction&Spice,DJ ICEY,DJ BABY ANNE,Tony Faline,Plump DJ's, Rick West,Sharaz,DJ Fixx,Drumattic Twins, man that's all I can think of right this second. Lots of good breaks there
Yes my bad. I usually don't get my info screwed up like that. I was looking at the wrong infinity instead of infiniti. Funny thing is that I like everything that I have heard from him so far. Sorry for the misinfo and thanks for the correction jdm and huk.
DJ Infinity is actually a girl. Just thought I would set the record straight. Yes Orlando was incredible for Florida Breaks. The closest thing to it was nuschool breaks but that had more or a straight sounding beat to it and not as funky in general. The good old days for sure.
Actually get your record straight it's DJ Infiniti not infinity, and he's a guy not a girl. he's actually on myspace if you search. He's a white guy and my brother is good friends w/ the real dj infiniti
Soulrays - Daytona Beach was the best rave cave ever. I believe it was 8 15"s in a 150'x100' main dance floor before the remodel in 00. the absolute hardest hitting bass in central FL. R.I.P. Soulrays! Cyberzone was a good club too after the drunks left at 2am. still miss the hyper color bar tops. If any of you old soulrays rats are out there and are still into the scene somewhat, drop me an email.
I was always a 600North man, myself. My good bud from way back (Mark Sanchez) used to hold that place the fuck DOWN! 600N was my home away from home from '99 - '02! They had THE Hottest bartenders!
Never went to Soulrays. Heard nothing but great things from my other friends who went there. One of only a few regrets from my raving lunatic days;)
what is infinti up to these days?. he had a lot of skill in the studio, as you can hear in this classic break.
Man you florida natives were so lucky to have this scene all to your selfs. i used to look at your party flyers and just be like whoa !! keep posting these breaks thanks, it's much appreciated considering you can't even buy most of these tracks any more
I have danced my ass off to this track so many times. Love Rick West. Firestone/Cyberzone, ending up at the beach, lets take another half. Still dancing.....
aahh the glory days of cyberzone. 97,98,99 when there would be a rave once a month somewhere in central florida. Saw 43 and London so many times back then. New Years Eve in Daytona Beach watching Infiniti and Magic Mike spin 2001 at midnight, jesus. those were good times
¿¿Alguien puede decirme la letra de las pocas palabras que se pueden escuchar en la canción?? / Can anyone tell me the lyrics of this song?? I suppose it would be easier if I were English!!
Im a Tampa baby myself. Florida deff has some of the greatest break beat dj's ever!!
