I played deity level as the US and Lincoln was my character. Basically it ended up being a cold war between myself and my 4 allies versus Ragner and his 4 allies with 2 neutral nations in the name of China and Spain. Upon that moment, their was quite a few wars, during the cold war nobody attacked one another due to fear of nuke attacks. Both I and Ragner alone had about 50-80 nukes each.

Happens to me all the time in Civ2. I love naval superiority. I'll have carriers loaded with helicopters and stealth bombers, and transports loaded with tanks and marines, and the enemy will mill around with galleons and musketmen wondering what to do about it...

It's usually good, except the one time I took 20 years to whip the annoying Greeks who wouldn't stop attacking. I ended up running out of time to get my spaceship to arrive.. by FIVE YEARS! Ugh... Why do these games have time limits?!
