  • Thanks so much! I live in Florida, so it gets really hot and humid here, your tips really helped! :)

  • What kind of foundation do you use?

  • nice video but u gotta edit sis - at times ur thoughts r repetitive - have your ideas on a paper n then elaborate it once. but i love u so - this is positive criticism.

  • you can set your gel eyelined or pencil eyeliner with black eyeshadow (watever colour the liner is) use the same colour eyeshadow to prevent smuding :D

  • what eye cream do you use?

  • Thanks for taking so much of your time to make this video. There were many tips I will use this summer :)

  • Yeah, was great, thanks a lot

  • very useful tips Uma, you are a teacher :) applying gel liner for eyebrows is such a cool idea.

  • @singaporelime : Thanks dear! I hope I made sense in this video... Somehow, my English is getting bad after being in Sweden! hahahaha!

  • @UmaPreve why do you say that? I think your English is very good especially since you are from Singapore and you don't have that Singlish slang or accent. I thought you lost it after moving to Sweden. You made a lot of sense and the long video was full of great tips.

Plus your new makeup look update on fb is awesome please do a tutorial and if possible add the hair styling too. Your hair looks sleek and shiny.

  • I like DDF Ultra-Lite Moisturizing Dew. It works great under my makeup. Mac Studio Fix Powder is good, but Makeup Forever Mat Duo Powder is better. For you to get a medium coverage with Mac you to use a lot and it looks cakey. But Makeup Forever Mat Duo you can a a medium coverage with just a little product and it doesn't look cakey. I tried Bare Minerals and Sephora minerals foundation and mufe mat is the best. Makeup Forever Mat Velvet and Coastal Scents liquid foundation is good too.

  • @shell1328 : Thanks for the tip. What brand is DDF?

  • @UmaPreve It is a skin care line.

  • @UmaPreve It is a skin care line.

  • thank you so much ... that was very helpful .. plzzz skin care vid

  • You look like Priyanka chopra!!! dont you think? x

  • @hannananwar not at all -_-

  • Hey Uma...you look beautiful! Are you back in Singapore for good now??

  • Thanks for tip on the Inglot cream liner, I was going to get the one from mac but when I saw one of your previous videos on the Inglot liner I decided to get it and I absolutely love it! It is very black, highly pigmented.

  • Even though this video is very long, its very useful....Nice thought of you doing this video at the right time.

  • Hi Uma! It is really hot and humid here in Puerto Rico as well, so I try to avoid heavy foundations because I feel like my skin needs to breathe, but anything else will just sweat off my skin as soon as I step out of the air conditioned room. And I have combination/dry skin! It's not even oily. What can you recommend?

Thanks for all the great tips! ;)

  • @dcoral85 Pueto Rico HO!!!!! WOW! I love how international you tube is.

  • @dcoral85 : Have you tried mineral makeup? Have heard that they are quite good for tropical climate.... I have tried bare minerals but I don't like the shimmer. I don't like looking shiny.

  • @UmaPreve I don't know why but it never occured to me to try mineral makeup. But it apparently also comes in a matte formulation so I think I might actually try it. Thank you!

  • Thanks for the great tips!! I have very oily skin and I will try anything to control the oiliness on my face. I found that the Ulta Professional Matte Prime work great at helping to control my oil production.

  • HI uma, Can u pls demo how u did ur fringe on the MUFE aqua colour cream clip?

  • Fab video hon, lots of lovely tips. I don't care for the Mac fluidline as a liner I find my Clinque one glides along lovely. I would like to try an Inglot one though in a rich dark brown or blue, sighs, one day. Maybelline Collasal is a fav of mine too. I'm on the hunt for a good mattifying primer for my T-zone, I only have Eve Pearl & Boots No7, neither work for long on me :( The search continues... Your smile lights up the screen, loving the sweet soft curls :-) x

  • @dianeuk01 : Diane, Inglot Blue gel liner is beautiful. I love it so much that I am using it almost everyday here in Singapore. Maybelline collosal is becoming my fav as the mac false lash mascara is becoming a headache to apply. It is so clumpy. Have you tried the MUFE All matt? It is quite good however not the best. Just as you the search continues!

  • @UmaPreve I think I'm going try Milk of Magnesia a few times a week and see if that helps control the oil secretion, Wayne recommends it and so do so many on YT just do a search and you will find vids showing how to apply and reviews. Lisasz09 talked about it in a video, last year I think... She gave it a huge thumbs up as well as Laura Mercier Oil Free foundation primer.

  • @dianeuk01 : Milk of magnesia... I have heard a lot about it too. Am going to try that.....

  • thanks a lot...perfect timing, Im going to mumbai soon and its sooo humid over there (especially while monsoon) great video!

  • great tips, thanks

  • OMG 24 mins :O

  • Uma what sun block do you recomment, that isnt greasy and doesn't leave a white cast? Thanks.

  • @lilacfunk : Neotragena ultra sheer sunblock in SPF50 is good. It water based and light. Not greasy at all.

  • @UmaPreve Thanks! I love what an affordable option this is. Does it leave dreaded white cast though?

  • Hi Uma

is mufe primer completely free for oil?

Thanks for all the usefull tips :-)

  • the only thing that helps is to use a lighter shade when it comes to mac powders or foundations. i'm a nc42 but have been using nc40 to avoid the oxidization problem. also, a primer helps the makeup to stay on much longer.

  • @youknowyouloveme88 Same, however you'll look awful and ashy for the first 1 hour.

  • @lilacfunk but in humid singapore once you step out the color changes automatically! so no ashy look. that's how humid it is here!

  • @youknowyouloveme88 Lol, I'm an NC40-42 Indian woman, born and bred in Singapore. I've really grown to hate MAC over the years. Their foundations aren't akin to realistic skin colours at all. Indian women are much better off with Bobbi Brown and MUFE. Those really match our skin tones. MUFE face and body is a fantastic foundation for our weather. Also its water based and quite sweat proof.

  • @lilacfunk i like the mac studio fix as i'm a uni student and do not have time to mess around with make up before going for lectures. i just wet my sponge and put on the powder to get a flawless even out finish. i can even skip the concealer! i just bought the bobbi brown concealer and corrector but i think it's way too creamy for humid spore. i'm yet to try MUFE! heard their primer is really good!

  • @youknowyouloveme88 I graduated last year. I used to just roll out of bed, rush to school and try to sneak into the LT without the Prof spotting me.

  • @lilacfunk really? from which uni? i can't go out without using a concealer coz of my dark under eye circles! if not i'll look like a zombie! that's why i need to slap on at least some powder to cover it up.

prof's these days don't care anymore. you can even sleep in their classes!

  • NUS Soci. So the profs are extra relaxed. Most people are facebooking during lectures anyway. What about you?

  • @lilacfunk i' gonna grad this coming july. as from econs. yeah, they don't care anymore. i try to sit right in front to avoid all the distractions during important lectures.

  • @youknowyouloveme88 Good girl. Lol I consider myself paying attention if I manage to attend the lecture at all ;) But econs is definitely more competitive.

  • @lilacfunk hahahaha! i used to go for important lectures only. most of the time i used to just laze around at home. yeah econs suck. all those prc's!

  • @youknowyouloveme88 NUS as well? More PRCS and NRIs every year.

  • @lilacfunk yup. it's horrible especially in econs.

  • Thats about 80-91 degrees Fahrenheit folks.

  • You look lovely uma sis, thank you so much for sharing your tips. It will be very helpful for me when I go down Texas:D

  • @Meeragurl10 : Thanks love!

  • heyyyy am nc 44 shade in foundation and i always feel that area around my mouth and forehead discolors after a while no matter what i do..so any tips to avoid that

  • @hashmith1 : Try using a color corrector. Like a peachy colored one. It helps to neutralized the pigmentation if the pigmentation is greenish.... I will try to do a video on that soon. :)

  • I love it!

    Thank you(;
