That fishing rig looked top shelf, roller bearing stick. Probably a minimum Penn class 50sw. Minimum $800 in just the fishing rod and reel alone. Had to be fake because other surfers in the area where shark swam by were way to calm and a big ass shark like that isnt going to head towards shallow coastal water. LOL however.

Duh, of course it's fake. Did anyone besides myself notice that when the surfer threw his board in, he also threw his fishing rod in ??? The rod obviously would have sunk, as a fishing pole and the attached bait don't have bouyancy. AND as "Kalipfs" and "Prowned" also figured out, the shark was way too close to shore and people would have been freakin' out. Believe what you want.

Dudes, this is totaly a fake. It has been proven a fake several times. The guys who made this work for a special effects company who also made thecathing sunglasses on your face vid and the bobbing for glasses one. Th guy is being pulled by a boat and there is a fake fin in the water. A hurt, possibly angry, scared, dying shark would not travel in a straight line carrying weight which is possibly pulling a hook through its face. These guys are very good.
