@ckakalak2 who said the pilot was turning? ;-) With these CAT III systems, I believe each pilot is required to use it at least once a month, even if conditions do not warrant its use. However, I believe he was turning so he could land the plane on a concrete/asphalt strip known as a runway, and it seems to me that due to his turning so much, he planted that sucker smack dab in the middle of that sumbitch. :-D
@darrenhenderson3 I never really thought about filming them spool down. It's just not as "sexy" as hearing them work. :-) I would film my wife giving birth, but I wouldn't film my grandmother dying. ;-)
That was fun. I've done this about a billion times when I was working for McDonnell-Douglas and commuting back and forth to the west coast. I miss the good people of the StL. Nice to see the new Busch from the air! I could make out some stuff in Soulard.
i dont understand why the pilot was turning so much!

717 is a great aircraft. It is old but i like it better than the MD-80. Airtran is awesome also.

@xplanerules Never thought I'd see the day when the 717 is referred to as "old" lol. I remember flying on them when they were brand spanking new.

@JMG717 Well compared to other "modern" aircraft i flew on, i consider it old.
