  • Dude I couldn't get this box for the life of me, watched your video like 30 times. BOOM, got it on the first try at MSF!! Thanks crash.

  • Awesome vid helped me out alot. Good job Crash

  • hahaha! funny yet helpful! :)

  • Can you do that on a goldwing, or a hayabusa? I can....

  • @clarke7703 YUP! It's true...your bike WILL do it!

  • @clarke7703 you can not do it on a busa. Stop it.

  • @polivo0111 Just do me a favor and read Captain Crash's reply to what I said. I can, and have, done the box with a hayabusa. Now I wish I had a video of it...

  • man I wish I would have watched this earlier... I just passed my MSF course today, but it was that friggin box where I lost all my points. first time ever riding a bike, aced everything else - I just couldn't get the idea out of my head that I would drop moving/turning so g-dam slowly! when I get my bike, I plan on practicing this exact drill. a lot.

  • Thanks for the video crash. It helped me prepare for my msf brc. You'll be happy to know I passed last weekend. What some people should know is to not sweat the box. It isn't where you will lose many points.

  • in australia we only have to do a U turn ... I think alot more would fail doing it this way.

  • @HecticAussie In queensland its a figure 8 until you are deemed competent

  • ding ding ding ding ding ding! :D great vids

  • klx 250 sf?

  • @freesmells--nahhh DRZ400SM. A big happy puppy of a bike.

  • "clutch issss your buddy!" i took the msf 8mos ago and on the honda 250 the second try i got the tighter box. the head look and about 25 mph entry is the trick....

  • I love the way he said "voila"...

    More like "woala"...

  • Love the humor in your videos! ... and the instruction ain't half bad neither!

  • befor taking the MSF class I wached all these videos combine that with years of riding dirt bikes and you get a 15 year old showing up a bunch of 40 year olds haha. I was the only one to make it through the box every time the instucters where asking me how I make it look so easy I said cluch is your budy and I broke it down for them like you did in this video haha.

  • If you could have only heard me singing that when I "beat the box" yesterday without any points...checked out this clip during the break before the MSF skills test and did everything you said...I OWE IT ALL TO YOU...turning the head is the KEY KEY KEY!!!! Thanks again Captain...you're the best!!!!

  • You're very welcome! Congratulations!

  • Lol ur vids are great!! thanks x the lessons!

  • You're mad...lol. Well done video...fair play to you...and thanks!!!!

  • Haha awesome - in Aus we only have to do a single U-Turn in our test.

  • I posted a video response for the box while riding a 950 pound motorcycle that has a wheel base of 5 feet 5.7 inches..

This is the 24 ft by 60 ft box. This motorcycle can also complete the 20 ft wide box but I do not have that on video....yet.

    Ride Safe!

  • Should be linked in the Reponse tab now! Nicely done!

  • man... I've been riding a 1.5years, and this is still hard for me to do on my bike. I have a tendancy to let go of the throttle, thus slowing me down and requiring me to put a foot down.

I love the graphics, however. Lookin' good CaptCrash! Your videos keep getting better! Thanks!

  • Good video. That was my worst part of the MSF. I ended up putting my feet down but stayed within the boundaries amazingly.

  • Crash, where I took the MSF, they told us to counterweight the bike when performing slow, tight turns. Do you follow this practice?

  • Certainly won't hurt! The reason I focus on turning your head is that it's a primary behaviour--don't turn your head and you'll be in a tight spot. For more on Counterwieghting see my "Leaning" or "U-turn" vids...

  • De box can kill you in thoussant ways... (okay, cheezy movie line altered to fit my warped sense of humor... sorry)

You are an inspiration. Thanks Crash!

  • Okay I KNOW I've heard that line before. What movie?

  • Anaconda... I think.

  • Crash what kind of bike are you riding man?

    Great Vids Thanks

  • Suzuki DRZ400SM. It's a giggle factory.

  • Haha Thanks man

  • great vid crash. will try it out on wednesday :) thanks

  • I agree with the sponsorship idea :) another good vid.

  • Brilliant as always Crash.

  • great show thanks for your time and consideration.

  • Awesome video crash! Love the "voices in your head" thing you had going on lol

  • Awesome, keep them coming crash!

  • you really need to get sponsored or something. you always have pure inofrmation mixed with some entertainment to keep the audience interested.

  • Heh, they may fail you if you pull the wheelie when you exit, though...

  • But it was a spontaneous "wheelie of joy"!

  • Awesome Crash. This was definitely the hardest part but once you understand it you can do it all day.

  • Awesome work with the diagram!

  • I didn't have to do a wheelie at the end of the "box" too bad. nice post visualize, head turn and clutch control is key.
