@cosmogang No, i use ibanez prestige, marshall and peavey amps, and YES, i use the metal zone. Don't hate it, no youtube movie makes it sound good. Yes, it's sharp at settings that would sound normal when set on another pedal, so you have to know how to use it.

why does GMD revert to twang pickin with phasers? i wanted to hear how the Earthquaker Phaser sounded but he just keeps twanging away. So I tried his demo of the Baby Quasar and he does the same thing. Seems pointless to be doing country pickin with a phaser. Let's hear some new wave/jazz...heck even some hard rock.

I thought that sounded very weak, could barely hear the phase when the rate was on full. I'd go for a much cheaper boss phase shifter.

It's all got to do with the settings. This pedal has a lot of depth if you want it, and can be pretty subtle if that's more your style. The frequency knob can push the quasar out of your "normal" guitar rage. I've got a PH3 and other than the rise and fall modes it's useless. At rehearsal/stage volumes it's way too overpowering. the ph3 is unapologeticaly digital, which I can appreciate for what it is, but it needs a mix knob for how over the top it is.

@subdecay I find that its not so much over powering as thin as the AD/DA converters suck heaps of the tone out and the 4 stage mode sucks. The Ph-2 on the other hand is overpowering but i like the 10 stage and 8 stage sound. That said cant wait to hear the deluxe quaser

aw man, i had no idea subdecay made a more affordable version of the Quasar. And to think I just bought a Phase-100 a few months ago (which is great too, but this just flat out pwns it). :(
