I feel bad for being the only person to dislike this. The drum samples bother me, the pacing bothers me, and it sounds like it's in a different key. If this was arranged by ear, I can forgive all of that, but... I dunno. It isn't right. It also sounds like it has too many instruments going on at once to be 8-bit. (Two? leads, one bass, one noise channel, and no two notes are played at once on the same instrument.) I could be wrong, and I could be ... really picky. But feels *wrong*.
@TehRahan It was all done by ear by our musician, Dos. It isn't true 8-bit in the amount of channels, as he wanted to do it his own way, but the sounds are all original 8-bit sounds. Have you checked out our other remixes?
@TheNintendoDaily I actually have not. I just found this through Zelda Dungeon, and while I definitely respect your musician's talent -- I sure as hell couldn't arrange something by ear if I tried -- I don't agree personally with his interpretation. I'm not gonna touch the true 8-bit vs. 8-bit samples thing because that really does come down to me being picky to a fault. >>; I will, however, listen to your other stuff.
@Nicknarw On the contrary, the art of 8bit music is something the pros take very seriously. Sticking to the 5 mono channels and basic waveforms is what makes it legitimate. Otherwise, there's really no point in putting the "8bit" label on there, and it becomes a regular "remix," sans "8bit."
Sounds great, man! This is one of my all time favorite Zelda songs, along with th Song of Healing and the OoT Gerudo Desert tune (which kinda makes me laugh since it was influenced by eastern AND spanish guitar.
:D beautiful

@ryandrums1001 Hmm, I stand corrected. I learned something today. The Gameboy had 8-bit graphics, but the music was 4-bits.

@strongo25 Mases from Zelda Dungeon that it was 4-bit. I didn't even know tat 4-bit was a thing though, so you might be right.
