  • saying and talking about the murderer of john lennon just gives him what he wanted, to be remembered for that. I hope no one else will speak of him anymore because to me hes a lost and sick man we need not to remember

  • Don't ever mention that mother fucker again.

  • John was the rocker. Not a Beatles' song, but nobody does it better

  • @minnowpd yup, just like how paul OWNS long tall sally, no one sang it better

  • Can you feel his energy!

    This clip is the best.

There'll never be another John Lennon.

  • 4 years before... :D

  • BAR BANDS DIDN'T DO BEATLES SONGS RINGO'S DRUMMING WAS TO COMPLEX AND COULD ONLY BE REDONE BY SEVERAL OTHER DRUMMERS IN THE WORLD THAT'S WHY IF YOUR OLD ENOUGH BANDS DIDN'T DO BEATLES SONGS WHEN YOU WENT TO THE LOCAL CLUB ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT AND NEVER HEARD BANDS DOING BEATLES MUSIC

  • Miss You John.!! Unlike alot of people that focus on the negative of your life there's still the people that dont dwell on who you loved and married or what you did in your personal life Iam one of them people and there's many that just focus on your talent your music and what you did to try and help humanity and for that you'll be missed untill the end of time...

  • i cant wait till mark chapman dies so i can piss on his grave

  • You mean Richard, George and James.

  • with richard, george and paul this song is perfect !

    yoko ¬.¬

  • Badass

  • Lennon and Clapton - Only perfect !!! :b

  • lennon was dead already when he was hooked up of the most horrible, disgusting woman in the world:= yoko

  • @goldenretriever77 Asshole

  • 28yrs old JOHN LENNON gives good bead

  • Can't deny that Harrisson's guitar was way more melodic and sounded better than this version.

  • @baraka155 Harrison better than Clapton, now that's funny!

  • Comment removed

  • PORRAA

  • Ringo plays the drums of this song one hundred times better than this drummer and the same happens with Yer Blues :D

  • Can we stop saying the killer's name on John Lennon videos? No one wants be reminded what happened when simply trying to watch a genius doing his work.

  • Imagine all the people, living for today, living life in peace, sharing all the world. Imagine a world united in reason and truth, with no war, no poverty, no deception, no division. Imagine a world where we all radiate Love's presence, with absolute appreciation for the Infinite dance of Life. This is the world John Lennon imagined, and we are the ones that can achieve it. Search "Truth Contest" in Google, click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says.

  • I like how in this video you can really see how good of a guitarist John is

  • is it really john?

  • Ese Clapton mas duro imposible...

  • I heard a Ritchie York interview with George Harrison on the radio back in 1970. The interview took place at Apple studios at 3 Saville Row in London. I use to own a copy of it on cassette tape.I also used to own a 1969 telephone interview of John Lennon speaking to CHED radio in Edmonton,Alberta which I recorded from the radio. I think the interviewer was Bob McCord,

  • レスポールを持ったクラプトンはやっぱスゴイ。

  • Clapton!!

  • woooooooooooww John Lennon es GEnial es chevere verlo cantando canciones que dejo siendo un Beatle

  • This seems kinda weird to me. I mean John was reticent/disinterested in performing live. But he performs live and performs songs that The Beatles performed early in their career. I know this was a Peace Festival but it seems he could've done this with bearded George, bearded Ringo and shaven Paul. Just my opinion.

  • @butterp7 He did the gig cause he wanted to, and he played songs that he liked. He didn't want to perform with The Beatles cause he wanted nothing to do with that anymore. The music and the people should not be confused

  • YEAH JOHN LENNON IN TORONTO SEPTEMBER 1969

  • I can find any Yoko tracks from this same concert......maybe it's because they were all heroin induced screaming and rants, which had no artistic meaning at all.

  • That has to be the quietest I have ever heard Eric Clapton play!! I wonder did he play other gigs with John Lennon? It's cool but weird - I keep listening out for George Harrison's guitar playing! :-)

  • John Lennon is my idol. I started to learn guitar because of him. And if one day, I become as famous as him, I'll tell everyone that HE inspired me. ♥

  • @LittleMissBrendy aww u can do it

  • Nice to finally see footage of this concert I've known since the live album came out. John is in some way at his peak here... Very creative during Beatles last years, now free to enjoy some 'old school rock', about to launch into more very origional work. Between "Come Together" and "Instant Karma" we have this - and it is just fine.

  • LENNON THE BEST

  • just imagine bearded john, bearded paul, and george and ringo with their mustaches, if they would've gone on one last tour before their breakup.

  • someone was obviously far too crazy high to hit the like button and has, instead, made themselves the single most retarded person i've ever noticed on the internet

  • This Gig is the end of Beatles..

  • hes better at guitar than i thought!

  • Is Clapton stoned out of his mind at this concert ? I think I read that in a John Lennon book.

  • @blizzofozz lol i bet half the ppl there wr

  • Alan White (not Ringo) on drums

  • fuckin god damn commercials

  • Ladys and Gentlmen , ringo starr on drums , eric clapton on lead and Jesus on rythm and singing

  • @legolas35653 It's actually Alan White on drums.

  • Haven't heard this in ages. Thanks for posting- last I heard his song was when the Beatles sang it

  • whats wrong with his teeth?

  • @Vitally14 connard

  • Ringo on drums and Eric Clapton on guitar. Wish I could have seen that 1!

  • @jamiespradling

Alan White was the drummer in this and not Ringo

  • @ahmedz912 And Klaus Voorman was on bass

  • Love John...

  • :)

  • What's Jesus doing in Toronto ?

  • that's classic hippie lennon!

  • fucking HATE mark chapman!! -.-

  • @jackassotherpeople I HATE Mark Chapman too

  • @blutocampbell, thankfully, we can still enjoy John's music here, and no thanks to that insect Chapman.

  • @sandinyourshoes I agree with you

  • @blutocampbell, it seems when we have something perfect, a fly gets in the ointment.

  • @jackassotherpeople Chapman was mind controlled....Global elite warmongers killed John for preaching love and peace.

  • @jackassotherpeople why the fuck are you mentioning his name ? buzz kill.

  • my old man showed me this tune. it's just so much what rock and roll is really supposed to be. over the top awesome.

  • abbey road john!!

  • just no where as good as the "original" with the Paul and Harrison.

They might be able to skip on Ringo XD.

John doesn't seem anywhere near as enthused here as he did at say... the Shea Stadium concert.

  • haha you guys are saying that Clapton sucks at guitar? wow.

  • but I have a heart

  • @elnuse then you must have a heart disease

  • clapton has no soul

  • @elnuse and you dont have a fuckin brain

  • the guitarist is Eric Clapton

  • AWESOME!!

  • the band playing with him is not as good as should have... The guitarists sucks and the drumb looses tempo.

  • @elnuse You have no idea what you're talking abouut lol

  • GRANDE JOHN LENNON CARAJO !!!!!

  • Alternate video title: John Lennon: The Music Behind the Beard.

  • @Blaze1289 FEAR THE BEARD!!!

  • Amazing to see Clapton playing so raunchy! Hey folks, just be grateful we have this document of Lennon playing live...........This may be quite different from The Beatles 1965 remake but it's a different batch of players.

  • DUO LENNON CLAPTON, TORONTO 1969 LO MEJOR DEL MUNDO

  • George was asked if he wanted to go with Lennon to Toronto but he declined.

  • @BeatleJim55 Would you have gone if it meant being stuck on a plane with that C.U.Next Tuesday Yoko for over 7 hours?????

  • Just Lennon "reinterpreting".............Who knows? The Beatles might have opened with this or done it as an encore at Shea Stadium in 1987.

  • My name is Lizzy lol yuss

  • Good place for Yoko (( Under a white sheet )) Stay there and shut up !!!!!!!!

  • @wellyaa It's not that I disagree with you. But ripping on her is just SOOOO overdone and played out. Everybody and their brother has said it over a trillion, skillion, ba-dillion times already. It's like when people are discussing Steve Tyler or Mick Jagger. There's ALWAYS one douche in the group that goes, "He's got big lips !" Really? Tyler and Jagger have big lips? I didn't notice over the last 45 FUCKING YEARS !!! THANKS FOR POINTING THAT OUT SHERLOCK FUCKING HOLMES ! So what....jeezus...

  • @wellyaa lol

  • Sad... I prefer to just remember how it used to be.

  • Too bad they were breaking up...Just think if it had been the Fabs on that stage. Don't get me wrong Eric Clapton, Klaus Voorman, and Alan White were fine. Just John, Paul, George, and Ringo would have been the best

  • I Think the original version with the beatles isnt as Heavy. With Clapton Its got more vitality i just wish he had a longer solo!

  • That bag's out of tune - so's that sack!

  • A lot of great beards in this band.

  • It's nice to hear,at this time in his life, John still sounded the same as he did at Shea Stadium. Like he didn't just completely forget where he came from. Even Paul said that John was the type of guy who never said what he really meant. He told Paul at the end of his life, that he missed The Beatles -- when John had made such an effort to prove that he hadn't. I know I will get tons of shit for this, but Yoko changed him so much.

  • @bladesofglory12

    Best reaction ever.

  • @jeroen2006 Thanks.

  • You know, it just doesn't sound right without Yoko.

  • Not a bad lineup w/ Duck Dunn on bass & EC on lead...

  • @67goldtops

Might look like Donald "Duck" Dunn but it's really Klaus Voorman

  • @usbjazz

No shit. Had you not said that, I'd have not even taken another look, lol. Thanks for the correction.

  • I think I see some birds nesting in his beard.

  • Sept.13,1969....on Sept.20,1969 Lennon told the others at a business meeting at Apple(..No George...he was vising his sick mother)..that he was quitting The Beatles...it was kept quiet until April of 1970 when McCartney

when Macca announced that the band was basically over...

  • John was simply paying tribute to one of his rock n' roll heroes, Larry Williams. It's still not too late to assassinate Yoko. She's earned it.

  • Eric Clapton Bad Motherfucker is soooooooo awesome...

  • That's the white suit that he wore on the Abbey Road cover

  • John's voice sounds good since he is said to have thrown up backstage.Clapton said this in his book.

  • @BobReidy : This was John`s Jesus heroin days....

  • I know.

  • you rock Jesus , oh hang on a sec that's just John

  • I had this cassette as a kid in 1970 when it came out. I loved the possibility of John

combining forces with Eric. Thanks for posting

  • Too bad Clapton's guitar's too low in the mix. They do a damn good job !

  • Stupid Cameraman, He didn't panning to the audience in what a great performance, I mean to have a better idea of this concert, he was kinda SODOMIZED seen John!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ft. Eric Clapton and Klaus Voorman

  • September 13,1969...one week later at a meeting at Apple on September 20,1969..John Lennon told the others that he was quitting The Beatles...it was kept quiet until Macca announced the split in April 1970...

  • 3.07 secs lennon says "What's that???" don't think he had that ending in mind! Great stuff ...happy bitthday John!!

  • @musiclido I think if he says "what the fuck" it is because he can't believe dribble yoko is putting out under that sheet.... seriously that's what I think.

  • Beautiful!

  • please kill yoko

  • wow, thanks for showing this to me, Rene!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!! (Dizzy Miss) Lizzy yours truly

  • It's just not the same without the other three. When they did the song together they had energy and having a good time.

  • Grande John, passagem curta pelo planeta, mas o suficiente para se tornar história da humanidade.

  • It's weird to see Bearded John sing Fab Four Beatles

  • @DrRobert909 well its actually a Little Richard number.... he just hadnt sung it since the early days

  • @DrRobert909 Still awesome.

  • @KingWillAlex96 - No DOUBT

  • Is it me or John doesn't feel it like he did with the Beatles, I mean he's awesome anyway but still he's missing them...

  • @BeatlEPMJo Yeah,i agree. I mean, some of his songs and stuff were great after The Beatles, but the songs he wrote just aren't the same without Paul. I mean, John had all the raw power and ideas for the songs, and Paul had the melody and the feeling to it.

  • Rock on , John ! Forevva !

  • estoy de acuerdo con homero, yoko ono arruinó la plastic ono band, la odio
