  • My battery must be too low because it didn't etch at all,

  • Dang I've been looking for something to get my logo on my custom knife blades for a while. This is so simple and perfect! Thanks for the video

  • hi, i have a problem...my etching dosent get the black color ..it just looks like a sand blasted knife...any ideas?thanks also im using my computer as a power source....12 v at 0.01 A

  • So basically you just apply current in a saline solution. I'm more interested if it can etch brass. Regarding the stencil... It seems that any slim, waterproof material can be used. Am I right?

Oh... one more question... How much time does t take to etch

  • Couldnt you just wet a cottonball of maybe one of those cotton pads and just rubber band it over the stencil?

  • So are the stencils just a one time shot or can u reuse them. I need something so I can keep using the same stencil on all the knives I turn out. Any ideas thanks!

  • Huh! Ingenious. Do you mind if I shamelessly steal from you?

  • Can you explain how you made your leads?

  • @BluesinGirl They're just pieces of insulated wire with an alligator clip at each end.

  • what kinde of liquid you use for the stick ?

  • I have been looking for something like this. That looks great!!! How are you making your stencils? I would also like to know the parts of water to salt you are using. Thanks again great job.

  • @dndhogs The stencils are sign vinyl cut by hand with a razor. The salt solution is 1/2tsp-1tsp per 1/2 cup of distilled water.

  • oh that is awsome is it real hard it looks like it take some practice I just started making a knife and would like to try to do some thing like that to it its not anything to brag about but it will be differint so what i should be asking is if its just table salt and 2-3 teespoons to a 1/2 cup of water or is there more to it that that - thank you .

  • what kind of acid are you using if it is a acid if shore is nice wow!

  • @swkford It's not an acid etching, it's an anodic etching. The liquid shown is a salt water solution.
