England have players that could get into any squad (probably excluding Spain) but they don't play modern football like they do in the Premier League. Alot of England's attacks consist of lobbing the ball upfield to Rooney and seeing if he can do something with it (which 99/100 he can't). Without Rooney England are a better team, you'll see that at the Euro's.

England always turn up to the big tournaments burnt out from the most gruelling of the club seasons in world football, and with a number of their best players injured. Also we dont produce world class coaches - thats why we have to resort to foreigners. No excuses - we still wouldnt win if those things were changed, but we would at least more reguarly get to the latter stages of tournaments.
England absolutely have some of the best talent in the world. With players such as Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, and Terry, England looks great. I would absolutely love just to have one of those players on our National Team. To tell you the truth i love England almost as much as the US and I know they will do better. @MillardTi England do not always make it.England never made it in 74 78 94.I watched West Ham V Cardiff yesterday.And even though the Welsh team full of Scots,beat the English team with lots of English internationals in it.I have to say it was a really boring game.I watched Dunfermline 3 Inverness 3 after it.And saw some proper football that was entertaining.Scots join the EPL every year.Its nothing new for us to get exited about.I am more exited about seeing players like Scott Allan come throug

England always turn up to the big tournaments burnt out from the most gruelling of the club seasons in world football, and with a number of their best players injured. Also we dont produce world class coaches - thats why we have to resort to foreigners. No excuses - we still wouldnt win if those things were changed, but we would at least more reguarly get to the latter stages of tournaments.

Hello from the United States.
England absolutely have some of the best talent in the world. With players such as Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, and Terry, England looks great. I would absolutely love just to have one of those players on our National Team. To tell you the truth i love England almost as much as the US and I know they will do better. You guys should never lose hope. IT seems that your players need heart and determination. Then they would be unstoppable. I know they will do better.

we have 14 americas cup and maybe 15 if we win at home this year...
since 1993 (our last championship) in americas cup
we won NOTHING!!!! it is tru we has been in some finals but.. we lost
we are just a bit more lucky than england in this time.. and thats it

The English national team is overrated, I gave up caring years ago and only watch them for something to watch.
The teams 'big names' are just that, big names. They're crap for Enland and the players that WOULD put everything in and be much better are always left out (Ledley King picked over Carragher in his prime. . . Emile Heskey Picked over Darren Bent. . . David James picked over Joe Hart. . .) the list can go on.

I love England and even though we always mess it up, I think we are still a 'lovable' team. We never cheat, and even if we continue to fail at big tournaments, we will always play the game the way we know how. Pace, electric pace, passion and tons of heart. I dont know what its like coming from another country but after the jokes etc, do they accept we are 'unlucky'? or just crap? Its a well known fact England have a mental bloc at penalties but one day soon, hopefully, we will win silverware

For me England has never been a power house in world football. They get too much hype and when they crash out of tournaments fans become sad; but I never expected more. Their last great team was at Italia '90. Also, English players are over-rated: Shearer for instance. Clubwise, he only won 1 title with Blackburn; for England? Oh. For himself? Premiership and Euro 96 top scorer. Yet he is celebrated as if he were Ronaldo or Zizou. Also Owen, Rooney, etc. England is a lightweight soccer nation.

Before spain became winning everything, they were just like England good players but under achievers, I wouldn't say Madrid v Barcelona is the best rivalry, for me it would be Man United V Liverpool, always heartbreaking and crazy matches, and they have so many records they try and break from each other, always getting even, plus fergie hates liverpool with passion.
