I traveled in India and I read all of the different tactics used before leaving. These are in any decent travelers book. I traveled in India and I read all of the different tactics used before leaving. These are in any decent travelers book. You NEVER get in a car with someone you do not know and trying to befriend you like this to rob you is the one of the most common kinds of crime in India. You can still meet locals and get to know the culture just do it in public or at the local places you visit. Who drives off to see "a village" with some guy who looks like he is in the Taliban? What an idiot.
