I purchased one of these in 09 and have taken it many places camping. This is a versatile truck and climbs like a billy goat....its not near as fast as my t and e maxx but it can go places they can not...just picked up the 1/16 and thats a little beast with the brushless system...not really a crawler but a fun backyard basher, i can catch the dog and run his rear over every time, lol

cool truck but u can stop it. just try bashing in cold wheather. my e revo brushless stopped when the drive axle ( weak point) broke due to the cold. Only found out after visit to hobby shop. I paid $700 dollars for a "MONSTER TRUCK " that needs a blanky to go out & play in the snow. WOW Traxxas nice job. Guess they fogottabout SNOW. E Revo Brushless should come standard with steel drive shafts. Oh i forgot ya'll in texas plastic comes from oil & 80bucks for steel ones damn. $780+tax & counting

Its awsome, however myn (3 weeks old) has started to rust and ive lost 2 servos allready, its not waterproof at all, however its a awsome truck, you can climb, jump, bash, "race" and it holds for pretty much anything ive threw at it. original batterys hold for about 20 - 50 min depending on if you drive in low or high drive.

@Uttelito i just got one and it says if ur gonna drive thro water mud or deep snow have it in low gear makes the motor last longer and the batteries dont last as long in the cold i find it sux cuz it doesnt come with a charger but it is an awesome truck

@69camaroZR i got myn with a charger, but it sucked, it could charge ONE battery in about 7 hours.... so i got a dual charger from my local hobby store and it charges both batterys fully in about 45 min. and i drive my truck in snow on high gear, there is a short vid on my page of me doing it, the motor was warm enough to melt all the snow around it :)

Yeah the issue i end up with is the cold makeing the ends of the plastic shafts brittle where the pins are. I changed to the Steel CV shafts you can get for the T-maxx 3.3 that seemed to solve that problem. but then you end up snapping differential outputs. lol take your pick haha

LOL the 775 puts out more than enough torque to bust every part in the transmission as it is lol. I've sheared clean off two CV shafts and and a couple differential outputs. Brushless probably would just make it happen faster. I love to beat the living hell out of my car. Going full T6 Aluminum so i can stop breaking stuff so easily.

you can convert a slayer to brushless. and yes you can convert it to nitro since the chassis is based on the e-revo and since you can convert an e-revo to nitro you can definitly convert a electric summit to a nitro summit

I wonder how this compares to the Savage Flux. That thing looks intimidating. Both are priced within a 100 dollars of each other. Electric is definitely the way to go. No hassles. Speed comparison: 25 mph vs 62. But speed isn't everything, especially with MTs. Plus, I like some of the features on the Summit. But you can have up to 25 volts on the Flux.

it's a best of both worlds machine i guess. I think around 25 tops.  As usual if you want power and durability you have to go with hpi. But this would be a sweet crawler.

i'm more of a nitro fan :/ the nitro's have more things to play around with if you get bored, like changing the engines, and they have more metal. well alluminum chassis anyways and they're a lot more durable, just a lot more fun over all. i like the idea of how many parts they have so i can have the option to build my own and know that i've accomplished something difficult.

this car is going to be the same as the e-maxx,you run the batterys for 15-20 min.i have a kyosho rock force and a axial ax10 scorpion kit truck,i can run the car for 1-1,5 houer and i scaled them with led lights cool stuff.summit is not a crawler it is a monster truck with crawling option,

This Summit looks fantastic!! A killer true off road looking body. I'm in Arizona desert and great weather, I run at night around a 1.25 acre back yard. 10 LED lights and Summit going slower is perfect for desert night bashin' around the yard. I'll be getting mine ASAP. Thanks for the video.

If you looked it up on Towerhobbies, then yes you can understnad why its $742 dollars. When r/c vehicles are released, they always price them high so they dont cheat themselves. This happend with the Revo Platinum Edition, I'd say whitin the next couple weeks the prices for it will go down. But yeah! This is an awesome vehicle!
