Just because it is based off another song does not mean that she did not write it. Angela most likely wrote all the alterations herself, and that in in of itself is a huge task which can alter the feel of a song dramatically.

Consider it a remix, of sorts. Do all remixes sound exactly the same as the original? The artist who writes the remix deserves credit for all the changes, no?

Although it is a cover song, she wrote the lyrics and the arrangement. She's credited for both lyrics and music on "ONE" for this song. However on her other covers, (minus Never is a Promise) the original artists were credited...(even for lyrics, such as Kiss from A Rose) it's strange. I'm not too sure why. It might be an error with the website I'm referencing off.
