Iraq does NOT produce 2.2 BILLION barrels of oil per day. It peaked at 2 MILLION and has been as low as 100 THOUSAND. It is still a third-world country incapable of basic infrastructure managment without outside intervention and money. It is a feudal economy based on slave/master principles of the 6th century.

Democracy is unwelcome. Capitalism is foreign. Dictatorial leadership has been ingrained into the population for so long, it will take generations to modernize Iraq.

I laugh "with" all these dealers who are selling their dinar online promising prosperity to all.Why would anyone so sure of an impending RV bother to sell them?Why not make the money for yourself? Would you sell your lottery ticket knowing you have the winning numbers? I think in financial lingo these dealers are called "pumpers" but in my view they should be called "circus barkers" leading people into a freak show.Very sad to see ignorant investors being taken advantage of by these clowns.

It is highly likely that the dinar will revalue in the future, but to what extent no one can say with certainty and when. The problem we all face who has invested in the Dinar is if the CBI and government removes three zeros from the currency. If that happens then the millions we all hope for will turn into hundreds and thousands. Even though some will make some money, its no where on what we hoped for initially getting into this investment. not be a happy camper if it turns out like that

The Central Bank of Iraq has announced their plans to redenominate the Iraqi Dinar to ease cash transactions. By the end of 2010, they intend to drop three zeros from the nominal value of bank notes. It should be noted that the actual value of the dinar will remain unchanged. That means that 1,000 IQD (pre-redenomination) and 1 dinar (post-redenomination) will both be worth the same amount in US Dollars.

The dealers will make money exchanging the old notes for the new. They will get you coming and going. :) The denomination will note means making 300 times your purchase values. You will get back approx what you paid less the dealers cut. Buy the new notes when they come and be prepared to hold them for a few years. Good luck everyone.

People say they are going to hit every single day. I honestly am beginning to think they are making profits by selling them and then feeding everybody lines of BS. Frank, Scooter, Med.... all full of it! I hope they realize that people truly believe in what they say and read their chats everyday. They are messing wIth peoples life's and it needs to stop.

@Mattmannish not too sure but i think they sell them because the more liquidity it has it will be easier to enter into market and stop speculation of it being a scam. Also if your desperate to buy them you can fly to iraq and get some. If Donald Trump bought 30 mil this may be a good investment.
