I'm sorry Barry but the cello is clearly woefully out of tune,in places, you can delete what you like. I've got a recording by Raphael Wallfisch accompanined by his father on the Chandos Label, which I've had for about 15 years and listened to regulaly so I know how it should sound. Its not easy, as this video clearly shows! I love English Cello music, Bax, Bridge, Ireland etc
Oh well stick to your Wallfisch then! Tuning can be a subjective thing sometimes - there are some who suspect the tuning of Jessye Norman (I don't) or Isaac Stern... I think it's sad though when someone feels it's almost their duty to put across a negative view on youtube - you obviously have nothing better to do! And yes you're quite right - I CAN delete what I like!!

Er no. Tuning is not subjective.. that is the point of having it. Thanks for posting the vid though..

uhm... nobody plays perfectly in tune, and it's not THAT bad. I don't see any claims of being wallfisch here.

The copy we used was and old library edition - I think the piece is now published by Boosey and Hawkes.
