  • j hooks work very well, you just got to know how to use them right

  • @curtgowdysharkhunter ya but circle hooks are better because they stay in there mouth better and you dont have to set it

  • Your one crazy guy I wish u were my friend to teach me how to handle a beast like that shark lmao my son loves your videos to . Thanks

  • the look on ur face whene u go home with no fucking fingers would be pricless.....

  • how many lbs was that shark?

  • @daniel123s1ckstuffz

    Probably 70-80lbs.

  • @BlacktipH I love ur vids, they're great man! After seeing that fin-nor of yours I decided to order one. It's the 75 size that holds 460 yards of 100 lbs braid. I was just wondering, what was the biggest shark you have caught with this reel? What is the maximum size shark that you think this reel could handle? your answer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much and tight lines!

  • @big9070

You can probably catch an 8ft shark with that reel. I have caught a few nurse sharks over 8ft with that reel, but that's not a challenge, just a pain in the butt.

  • @BlacktipH Thanks man! thats about as big of a shark you can get alone anyway. any bigger and you'd need some friends. Thats perfect!

  • to get the hook out...do you just pin it down, grab and lift the nose or tip part, and just use pliers to take the hook out of the mouth?

  • @ital3nt3d

I use pliers and hold the mouth open.

  • im looking flr a reel for tarpon and was wondering if the stella 8000sw is good im willing to spend 700$

  • @tonyel120

A big tarpon will spool it. Even though it has a lot of drag, you can't use that much drag on a tarpon or you will pull the hook. The 18000 and 20000 are ideal for big tarpon, but you will pay $1000. For your price range, I would recommend a Penn Torque S9, it's the same size as the 20000 Stella and to be honest, I think it's a more durable reel. Also it's $700 and fits your price range. If I had to choose between the Stella and Torque, I would choose the Torque.

  • what is a good kayak for 500 dollars or less

  • @ital3nt3d

I used a ocean Kayak Frenzy for ever! They are built like a tank.

  • Nice, congrats !

  • Which GoPro mount were you using for this video? I am looking at the chesty for what I do.

    Thanks!

  • @Fishingallday31

I was using a head mount.

  • MILF- Man I love Fishing

  • what rod would u recomande for shark fishing.

  • @fishingkid2000

    For surf casting?

  • @BlacktipH yes, for surf casting.

  • @fishingkid2000

How much are you willing to spend?

  • @BlacktipH I am willing to spend 150USD.

  • @fishingkid2000

Try the Penn Power Stick 12ft 4-10oz.

  • @BlacktipH Can i use it on an Avet LX.

  • @fishingkid2000

I wouldn't. That's a big reel for a surf rod. I would recommend using a 7-8ft Conventional rod for an LX.

  • wow there are big sharks out here

  • sweeet i have to get down there soon!! great video josh!!

  • what was your rig???? good job! :)

  • @Country4ever96

The rig is in the description.

  • thats a feisty one there

  • Nice !

  • Did you film this with the hero 2? If so, do you like it?

  • @SHOORTYS

Nope, with the original one. I like the Contour HD much more.

  • @TheSCFisher

Only if you reel on the right side (left handled). If you reel on the left side, you won't need to change it.

  • you know you're a pro when you start reeling and automatically know what it is.

    :)

  • nice catch! what bait were you using? p.s. nothing like blacktiph catching a blacktip shark, nice job man

  • @Sportz2TheXtreme

  • @etornel79 Sharks are the apex predator, eating almost everything, meaning they're full of mercury.

  • @Guitarplayer219

  • do you actually real right handed or is it just the camera flipping the image

  • @KWCARVING
