Nice splice job I loved the Top Gun movie and Airwolf. Airwolf's concept is hardly realistic but I still loved the show. One day at the hospital I watched an Eggbeater the same model as Airwolf. It looked as if the pilot had to go full power just to lift off the hospital roof plenty of noise and power but it could barely get out of its own way that took the wind out of my sails a little bit,but I loved the show and have always been big fans of Jan Micheal Vincent and Ernest Borgnine thanks.

@Vinny19rocks We studied this TV show in our film studies class at school. The Helicopter is real, as well as the flight close ups. What's fake is when they do the close ups of the pilots inside. That's just a stage mock up of the cockpit, and when they do the turbo boost it's just put on fast forward. Helicopters cannot do the turbo boost like that.

When the show was cancelled Hollywood sold the actual heli to a hospital in Sweeden as a medical bird. They crashed it like 2 years later.

why not indeed.the allouette 3 was origanally a sea and rescue heli but in the 70's the southafrican air force kitted it out with armour plating,50mm chain guns and anti tank rocket pods and all they had to do was upgrade the engine capacity.if it can be done fo an allouette 3,why not a belle 222????

Flew the F-14 in the USCMC rebuilding the real AirWolf, finding parts for a Bell 222A is tuff. But building a Mch 2 Helo is going to be fun, flying it even better.

The #1 problem I have come upon with fast helicopters that halt their blades, is that they end up with one side creating lift and the other not doing so, as that's how helicopters work. So the chopper would be in a constant barrel roll. Plus loops in helis are rather impossible. I won't point out all the other problems with Airwolf as I don't have space.

I respect the fact that you are a die hard Ariwolf fan. But there are certain things that you MUST realize. The first being this. The Airwolf is not an actual helicopter. The bell 222 model is real but the "lady" as you put it is fictional and can never become a reality. Second Because of the armament and structure of the Airwolf the helicopter would be far too heavy to even lift off the ground. And if it could it wouldn't be able to pull off more then mach .5

Exactly. I'm as big a fan of Airwolf as the next guy, but it's down to simple combat capabilities. Attack helicopters like Apaches and Cobras are fitted with Stinger and Sidewinder missiles for self-defense, not dogfighting.
