Jeff kinda snuck up on a lot of people over the years. It's not his characters - he's certainly no Walter Winchell - but his good solid writing and steady delivery. He also never became a loud-mouthed jerk about his fame, and you don't see him in headlines getting caught with some reality show sleazebag or going to jail for substance abuse. He just keeps on pitching a good clean game, inevitably wearing down the competition. That kind of class is pretty tough to find in ANY area of showbiz.
