"A story about a billion dollar industry that shows no intrerest in slowing down and kills many people every day!" - I thought this was a story about the FDA for sure...
ninpon duh! ignorant statement. Most illnesses are treated with drugs ,be it plant derived drugs or chemical drugs..ibogaine is taken for just 1 day.
its not setting up another addiction its resetting the brains receptors to release the addict from addictive behaviour often forever.it sounds better than the alternative long term use toxic methadone or suboxone anyway
it wont become popular cos drug companies cant make money of it-its not addictive.
Dr Sola ran the clinic this is their web site w w w treataddictionright com AVOID them!
There were 3 of us and they severely under dosed us with what was suppose to be "Ibogaine HCL" but it was not off-white it was BROWN like an extract would be. Then we were given barley 12mg/kg which was too low as we all had massive painful withdrawal symptoms which were NOT related to the potential effects of ibogaine. Even though they saw that we were in withdrawal they did not give us any boosters.
The Ibogaine treatment protocol dictates patients who show withdrawal symptoms should be given booster doses and people with high opiate tolerance should receive higher amounts of Ibogaine, we were barely given a threshold amount and of questionable quality. At our level of opiate use we should have received AT LEAST 15-24mg/kg.
In correspondence with Dr Mash, she said her "standard doses are 850mg" and she has never had any complaints... we asked for a GC/MS and have had no reply.
Yes, Ibogaine works wonders but the clinic is a complete scam, DR Mash is a scam and charged us $7,000 each per person to stay at a rented house in Cancun Mexico. We were fed no food but rotten food and were not allowed to leave. The doctors and nurses were rude and uncompassionate. It was only our resolve to get the treatment to stay until we received the drug. We left 2 days early while they tried to restrict our phone calls preventing our plans to leave.
LSD-25, courtesy Sandoz Laboratories, was studied and papers exist on how it could help cure alcoholism. It's interesting reading material. MK-ULTRA is another interesting read.
Pharmaceutical companies do not want to heal people. No profit in it for them. Thus, Ibogaine is a threat to them. There's no telling what other benefits it may yield. Look for it to stay banned in the U.S. Canada and Mexico will be our best bets for access (or, a Carribean island). Too much profit in pain and suffering for the Government or corporations to allow Ibogaine's presence.
Thanx ninpon8! exactly what i think and wanted to say. If Ibogaine had to come on the market, the Pharma industrie would loose billions by people not supporting and needing their chemical legalized drugs anymore. I have had such bad experiences with legal drugs being given to by doctors who knew exactly what shit they were feeding me(too HELP me..)! Fuck them!!!!!
"Is it reasonable to treat drug addiction with an other drug?" Is that lady an idiot? What do you think methadone and buprenorphine are, candy? Drug companies don't want ibogaine on the market because you dont have to keep coming back for more. The only Opiet treatment they have are (for the most part) what i named above and it is replacing a drug for a drug. The money just goes to the drug co intead of the drug dealer.
I was just about to post EXACTLY what you posted...well said! "Is it reasonable to treat drug addiction with another drug, that is powerful"...duh! Methadone is a very powerful drug, & incredibly addictive. Pple who have been opiate addicts for a year go onto methadone end up on it for 25 to 30 yrs as it can be harder to get off! methadone has the LONGEST withdrawel symptoms of any drug out there.
Ibogaine isn't addcitive & all the research I've done points to it being a miracle treatment!
Iboga or ibogaine really does work. I know because My girlfriend and I were heroin addicts. I was addicted for about 12 years and she about 6 years. We took ibogaine about one year ago and we are still clean. Nothing worked for me except ibogaine. A true miracle from Mother Nature herself. Thank you Iboga and the Bwiti Tribe of Africa.
I have been involved in more than a dozen treatments after working for two years at the Iboga Therapy House in Vancouver. I invite any interested or curious people to contact our non profit centre.
Hello snufkinhead, i have been watching a few videos about ibogaine today and i noticed that u posted responses on alot of them about this center in vancouver. Do u know if there are any centers closer to england, are there any in holland or denmark?
There is a centre in the Netherlands, with good Youtube coverage "mamaiboga" I dont know about England or Denmark. Look online at the Ibogaine resource lists that come up with searches on the web.
cheers, what are the risks with exsisting pschological conditions? have u ever had any cases where mental instability has occured or got worse or developed etc as a result of using ibogaine?
Does this iboga treatment work? What else works as a medical treatment? Anything for pain Does any of these plants help pain Pain is in the mind so what plants have they found to help that or can they?
I'm not sure. That's my only main question, as I suffer from chronic pain & take prescribed highly addictive heavy pain killers-the pain clinic didn't even tell me they were prescribing me opiates at the beginning. I still have to take them even though they do NOTHING for my pain anymore.
Apparantly Ibogaine totally reduces your tolerance, & can help pain because it makes your brain produce it's own natural pain killers-endorphins, again, which it stops doing when you take opiates long term!!
This piece doesnt mention the main risk of Ibogaine, which is cardiac. The only known deaths, more than a few, were from preexisting silent heart conditions. Ibogaine necessitates careful medical screening, monitoring, and preparedness. Ibogaine has no abuse or addiction potential, often being long, incapacitating, nauseating and frightening.
Ultimately, it will have to be the choice of the individual, the same choice to say "I want to do heroin", to say "I want to take this new drug".
Even if ibogaine has drawbacks or certain side effects that may be dangerous, pharmaceutical researchers can modify it to curtail these side-effects, but to keep the addiction-destroying abilities of the molecule.
A "new drug" called Ibogaine. Theres nothing new about ibogaine.

could this drug be harmfull for a schizophrenic?
blackjack55551234 4 years ago
Yes. Any hallucinogen could make schizophrenia worse. Find a doctor that would work with you on this.
lonelyboy03 3 years ago
no.
madspwn 3 years ago
If you experience Schizophrenia or Paranoïa, it is not recommended. It works very well against depression, though.
