The 1st time I fought Undead Core, I beat it on my 1st try with 1 HP left. I'm not trying to brag. In fact, I'm doing quite the opposite. I'm wondering HOW THE F*CK I BEAT HIM ON MY 1ST TRY! Seriously, I was a Cave Story n00b back then. >.>

I tried the Undead Core for the third playthrough, and it was harder than I remembered it... Until Sue somehow glitched through the floor 10 seconds into the fight and I kicked his ass.

The music perfectly syncs with the first half of the video, playing the intro while fighting Misery, starting the melody when fighting the first two forms of the Doctor, kicking into the remixed bridge duringn the cutscene where the Undead Core appears, jumping back into the remixed melody once you get on the offensive against the core, and finishing with the true melody again once you finish off the core.

Nice last boss strategy! I just went rambo on the undead core to beat it in my first playthrough, but now I'm doing Hard mode on the Wii version and I know that with 3 HP and no missiles, I'm not beating this guy that way. This video gives me hope that I can do it, too. :)

After attempting this myself after finally having been able to do a 3HP run, I quickly found that using video capture software along with playing AND streaming it with music to time it perfectly is near impossible. This requires several times the level of skill needed to simply play it with no distractions; the lag from the capture software sucks.

Still my favorite boss run due to the excellent music:action ratio.

Its Snake >_> You get it by keeping the polar star. When you keep the polar star you will be able to get Snake or Spur. Snake you get from trading your fireball and polar star to that beetle thing that sell nothing. And Spur by giving it back to the old man from the first cave.

The funny thing about this, is you more or less promised "snake" and "3 HP", not. Things you could have avoided were the crystal... I'm sure I could take out the core alot faster than you did... A funny thing about the core, though: Touching it really doesn't hurt you at all, weither the face is showing, or not. On his final 'stage' (The charging up), you can quite literally take him out before he even fires once. Overall, this isn't too impressive.

Amazing 3HP run! You actually anticipated and avoided the Undead Core's "teeth and eyes" phase, and saved the missiles for the last.

Well actually leveling up the blade decreases it's rate of fire because you have to wait for King to stop moving. At level 1 or 2 the blade simply has to strike a surface to fire again increasing damage when you strike the core multiple times in succession.

As for the crystal, well shit happens.

Very nice run. Only way I could see that you would've been able to improve it is if you had maxed out blade before going into the final fight, and of course not getting hit by that damn crystal, lol.
