  • Chez Leon !!!!!!! WTF Go eat mussels with fries somewhere else ! There are much better places.

  • eeew maes is like the worst belgian beer ever

  • not sure I agree...

  • there's waaaaay better food then that in Belgium! Usually they serve 2kg of mussels atleast per person, cooked in white wine, can be marinated in other boiled with onions, cellery, and salt, served to your table in a medium sized boiling pot; With a side dish of lot's of fries! and not always beer :) mussels is a typical french dish from Belgium, thus white wine is also very well appropriate with this dish :) MMmmm Heel lekker! Super Délicieux! I'm glad you made this video and enjoyed our food

  • But don't the fries actually come from Holland or the Flanders? That is what I was led to believe.

  • @amiausUSA @amiausUSA No!! Fries are from Belgium (Flanders) Holland has nothing to do with fries, and flanders is a big part from Belgium, it's not THE Flanders, but just Flanders, Flanders is the part of Belgium where people speak dutch (Flemish)

And Maes is not quality, you really have to try Stella Artois, that's the best Belgian Beer without doubt, but there are 600 belgian beers, if you wanna taste them all, I don't think you'll be able to decide!

  • @amiausUSA no, it's a belgian invention

  • Unfortunatly Maes beer is indeed belgian beer.

    It sucks

  • pasta and fries is a carb overload!

    but it does look delicious.

  • Lambics are not beer combined with juice, but a very in depth process of wild-ale brewed beer with a secondary fermentation with whole cherries. I could go through the whole procedure, but if you want to know just message me. ;)

  • Hi again, saw you changed the title.

In dutch we call Cherry-beer: Kriek, it comes from different brands, Lambic is good, there is also Bell-Vue and Boon for example.

Cherry beer, like most belgian beers, is made only with natural ingredients and no artificial additives. I'm not familiar with the entire procedure, but I know large quantities of cherries are involved in the production, and the success of the cherry harvest has a direct impact on the quality of this beer-variation.

  • This food is not typically Belgian in any way. Please do not mark it as such.

Maes is good though, you made the right choice there :-).

  • Where did you get this horrible meal? I hope you didn't pay the man. Nothing to do with Belgium. Pasta combined with fries is a North-African combination. Brussels is being infested with foreingers trying to pretend they know Belgian cooking. I'm very sorry for your experience. Contact me next time you're in Belgium I'll show you where to go.
