Checked his other works out, they're better than this, gotta admit. Yet, I prefer Tony Choy, Sean Malone and Flea, for that matter, over DiGiorgio.

Because being able to play 100 notes a second doesn't yet make you a good musician, and this solo is just that IMO.

you said it yourself, you dont play bass. here is a little bass 101 you do not play bass like a guitar, bass is supposed to play with the drums, we keep time, with the under beat. solos should implement this technique, and this is no where near good. it is interesting, and very fun to watch being that he is a legend. but you are obviously a kid, and your hilarious, so thank you... i got my laugh for the day.

I feel the need to put my two cents in. I am a bass player as well. I think the problem here is that you don't understand that style of bass playing. It's not a matter of wether you are a bass player or not in this arguement it's a matter of understanding playing styles of certain music. If you don't appreciate this style of music at least respect what talent it takes and move on. :) As for me I think Steve is technical but a really good bass player.

i guess it is needed to be said, he is a great bass player indeed but this is not a display of anything. there is nothing here to be impressed by, and if you are; then you one- dont know what he is capable of and two- need to lock yourself in a room and study. i really hate arguing with people, but if you think this is a display of talent then you dont know what greatness this musician is capable of, and have been deprived from the magic of live music.. not drugged up drunken bass scribbling.

I have heard what Steve is capable of doing. He does magic with a fretless. I agree some...this piece does seem thrown together but but in order to even play the thrown together shit he played in this video it would require some talent of course. It's not easy just picking up a fretless bass. Not everybody can have a perfect moment in the spotlight either. Haha there are some sour moments too. ;)
