Funny how things work. Emmitt's jersey is retired and he is not in the HOF...yet! but Irvin is, and scrubs are still sporting his jersey...haha hilarious!Too many great memories of Emmitt. Here is a personal one. My uncle bitching about our work horse being on his way to the Vikings and being replaced by a " LITTLE GUY"! I was at a Thanksgiving game with my dad one year against the giants and Emmitt broke a couple looooong rushes for 6. I was just drinking my hot chocolate, watching the boys kill the giants. It is and will always be a great memory. Emmitt dominated. The place was electric when ever he touched the ball. You never knew WHAT was going to happen. I also went to the redskins game a few years ago when the triplets got their numbers retired. Cried like a baby haha.

I'll go with the time Emmit Smith got 240 yards in the first half against the Vikings breaking the record for most yards gained in a half ever by any running back to play in the NFL.

I'll go with the team record 237 yards against the Eagles at old Veterans Stadium - I remember it was disgustingly rainy, Emmitt & the boys had their classic dark blues on, and Smith torched them big time, including like a 62 yarder. It was a good year because they started 0-2 that year without Smith.

well i was born in 88....so i was still pretty young when we were the team of the 90's....but i will never forget when emmitt broke the rushing record vs. seattle...i mean he was SO close to breaking it for a touchdown too....and i just remeber the whole lap around the field the tears the cheers....it was great and hes such a humble person......he went over and hugged moose and irvin....oh it was just a great day for cowboys fans
