So please do some more if U can.

ps: UR English is brilliant. (I'm still learning, but that's everyone who seriously thinks about learning anything...)

  • Haha, sot (with the o/) is 'nerd' in flemish :-)

  • hola señoritas jajaja ;D

  • jeg elsker øynene dine. thanks

  • I have an interest in the northern languages because I am Texan and nativley I speak English, which is kin to Deutsch and Norsk. Vikings and gaulles from Germanic speaking lands planted the seeds of our English language, so why not?

I think its more or less of an American of Germanic descent getting back to his roots.

My surname is Sherling, but originaly was Scherling, my folks dropped the c and Americanized it in the 19th century when they came here.

    ;)

  • Hi.

I'm kind of curious.. Why the interest in Norwegian?

I'm from Denmark and I think the interest of the "northern languages" is pretty cool. ^^

  • Oslo, or the surrounding area :-)

  • Din engelske akksent er veldig søt! Hvor kommer du fra i Norge?

  • Tusen takk for lærdom!

  • thank you a lot for upload all you movies about the norwegian language !

i am lerning to speak it !

    because i love alexander rybak ! :D:D (L)(L)

and maybe he is coming to the netherlands and then i want to be cute and i know alexander love it if a girl tries to speak his language !

so thank you a lot :D

because of you i can speak it a little bit ! and my accent is going to be better :D

    ♥♥♥

  • ur video was good hellping thank you to mach

  • I hope when I ever use it when I at least move to Norway, that this words really means what you say, and its not joke :D, so I hope that "Du er søt" really means "You are cute" and no something like "You silly cow" :)

    Great language vids, btw.. 5*

  • They are all true :)

And if they werent people would be talking crap in the compliments, cause its not nice teaching people the wrong words, and I hate the people that do that!

  • You should check out Galstrims videos, he does Norwegian language vids too. But it kinda seems like he could be telling people to say someones mother is a chimpanzee. The guy cracks me up. Anyway, your videos are really helpful, thanks for putting them up.

  • @DaveCZ85 don`t you worry it really mean`s "you are cute", but if you really wanna get a date so "du er perfekt på alle måter" it mean`s " your perfekt on all way`s"

  • thank`s for your vids.

  • your vids are really helpfull takk, and plz upload more vids

    be cool.

    Al

  • hola señoritas

    hahaha

I'm from Mexico, I'm thinking about living in your country

  • Your video's are very helpful! I love Norway and I really want to learn the language, but here in Belgium it's very hard to find a good course. So thank you for putting these video's on youtube!

    Tusen takk :D

  • If I use these to get a Norwegian girl to marry me, will that make me able to speak the rest of the language?! =)

    tusen takk hhahahhahah

  • Du er søt, du er snill og du er også nydelig, Karin.

  • 2:32, amazingly cute when you said "the smile is everything"!

  • Jeg liker dette videoen.

    Takk!!

  • Is everyone in Norway bilingual (can speak Norse and English)?

  • yup, atleast the latest generations :)

  • mmmm i don't quite get the use of 'konge' og 'kona'...can you explain it??

    takk takk!

  • Im not sure i understand your question..

    Konge = king

    Kona = wife

  • that's really interesting!

I try to learn your langage, but in france ..it's quite difficult to do it.

  • Maybe for your next video you could do it in just norwegian as like a recap of everything you've done so far.

  • Tusen takk, du er perfekt.

  • Thanks for the lessons lol,

Why aren't you on blog anymore?

  • Karin, Good job, again. Jeg har vært gift for tretti år, så skal jeg bruker disse med (eller på) kona mi... :) These are very helpful for those of us trying to learn norwegian. Please keep it up.

  • Haha, for me it sounds pretty weird when you say "you can practice your kj-sound", because in Bergen that way you pronounce it would be wrong. ;)

I should start my own little school to spread Bergenish, really annoyed about all these Oslo-people now. ^^

  • Never had a complaint about my kj-sound before.

  • Sure, but if you came to my Norwegian-class my teacher would probably throw you out. ;) It is accepted in the eastern part of the country, and maybe many other places too. Though not at my school.

I still think that you bare doing a wonderful job. :)

  • Bergen are just full of themselves. They will always think whatever they are doing is the correct way. Its part of beeing a bergenser.

  • Well of course, I've lived here for mostly my whole life and that is what I've learnt in school. When someone says something else of course I'm gonna disagree.

  • seff

  • @LeahFromNorway Then teach them how to read and write bergensk as well, then. You wont hear me whining about trøndersk beeing more Norwegian than the Oslo dialect. Foreigners should learn the most commonly used dialect in Norway wich happends to be.... you got it, dude...bokmål.

  • Takker :)

  • HAHA, you've thought of everything.

Now I just need to go to Norway and start hitting on women!

  • loool! sound like a plan ^^

  • lol Good idea

  • Karin, do u pronounce the last "e" in "oeynene" and "dine" like an a? "oynena dina". is this correct and to be generally applied?

  • Nope, if you say it like that is is pronounced like an E. If you want to change something to A

It has to be "øya dine" but thats it..

  • Your videos are so helpful! Tusen takk! <3

  • veldig bra film Karin! haha jeg vil bruke disse mye!

og jeg har fått så god i norsk. jeg kommer til norge snart!

  • Thank you for making these Norwegian tutorials. Question: If I want to add a Norwegian language setting to my keyboard properties, do you recommend Nynorsk or Bokmal?

  • Bokmal! Nynorsk is horrbile :P

  • You should learn Bokmål, because Nynorsk is not used that much...

  • Og hvorfor skrev du "don't hate me"? Jeg synes at det er umulig å hate deg fordi du er søt :-) Det er ikke grunn til å hate deg ...

  • mange som har ting å rakke på, mye forskjellige dialekter og dritt, norsken min er ikke perfekt heller :P

  • Thanks :) Before I was in Oslo, I've learned Norwegian from some audio "tape" (they were mp3 files for real hehe). It was funny because there were exercises in it, the guy said in English that you should construct the given sentence in Norwegian, and almost all of those were somethign like: "Greet the young woman, and tell her that you want to drink a coffee with her at your flat" :) I have no idea what the purpose was of these lessons, maybe everybody want to get a girl in Norway? :D

  • OMG THANKYOU SO MUCH!

    i love you~ haha

  • you know "i love you" in norwegian by now, give it!

  • jeg elsker deg!

    is that right?

your videos are the best, im always coming home from school and watching all of them and saying the words after you do : ) lol the most helpful language teacher on youtube haha <3

  • thats correct :) Great job! :D

    Tusen takk :)

  • hola señoritas ? thats in spanish :]

    du er så snill

  • [:

    du er snill.

  • "Hola señoritas"

Hahaha who says only girls are watching you ?

  • haha i know : it just came out :P haha!

  • I'm going to give this a try... Jeg elsker crienexzy? Oynene dine er pen?... What does Uff Da mean? My grandparents from Norway always said it. Takk.

  • haha, Almost :) Øynene dine er pene (you have to add a "e" if you are going to use it like that"

Uff da, is like, "oh wops" or "uh oh", just like, something you say if you did something you shouldnt or if something bad happened or something like that :P

  • Mana Takk for your reply. (is that right...many thanks? my grandmother said that as well) In your next video, could you say a couple sentences or conversate? I'd like to hear the flow. Thank you my beauty.

  • sentences, got it ;)

Mange takk is the word you are looking for :)
