  • olive oil works 100000x better than coconut oil, coconut oil didn't do anything for my hair so I don't know what you're talking about lol

  • where can I find coconut oil

  • @xhellokityxm Whole Foods

  • @xhellokityxm Most places with coconut oil sell it for ridiculously expensive prices ... you can buy it at iherb.com in a big 1L tub for cheap or just little bottles also ... you can use a coupon to get $5.00 off ... YAG115

  • @xhellokityxm I found mine at Trader Joe's

  • ur sooooooooooooooo beutiful

  • you forgot to say that you need to massage the scalp to stimulate hair growth! if thats what you want i guess :)

  • How often should it be used as actreatment?

  • @munekita2009 usually people do it twice a week but you can do it as many times as you like. just try to leave it at least 1 hour to really soak in.

  • I wonder if it helps men who are balding..

  • @seocom yes!

  • Does coconut oil make your hair thicker?

  • You are adorable :) I like this tutorial, very informative

  • Suave coconut works too. And suave lavender works too I love it.

  • Can you use the same coconut oil for your hair, to cook with as well?

  • @kittycatzize yes but make sure it's 100 percent virgin :)

  • @kittycatzize if its 100% virgin then yes. I've done it

  • where can I buy this at?

  • @serenitysmilf1 whole foods

  • @StephanieLove19 The grocery store!

  • can u do a video about preventing split hair and dull hair please :'(

  • where can you buy this product?

  • @mispurplebutterfly coconut oil workd better, the particles in it can penetrate the hair shaft. Argan oil can coat the hair and some of it can penetrate it but you'd have better luck with coconut oil.

  • coconut oil in my personal experience didnt do nothing but make my hair greasy ...just it

  • Flax seed oil is really good too. Veggie and is good for your heart too.

  • Great video think I put a bit too much ob though ... Lol hope it washes out in the morning

  • @bish11084 Awesome! thanks for the advice,hun :) xo

  • soo which is better in penetrating the hair, coconut oil or argon oil ??? ? ? ?

    please answer !?!?!?

  • @MisPurpleButterfly You COULD use both. My hair is naturally extremely dry so I out both in mine and you can't tell.

  • I was wondering how often should you put this product in your hair?

  • @redmoon6669 I use it daily.jojoba oil is good too. ANd coconut oil if rubbed in the scalp actually re-grows hair and I had that happen to me after I lost a significant amount of hair from the gardasil shot. Thank God it grew back, and even thought it is not as it was when I was a teenager, I believe coconut oil has helped! I warm it in a small pot not too hot. Then I rub it on my ends, and work my way to my scalp. I sleep with it overnight and wash in the morning in the shower. I love it.

  • I found that coconut oil sits on top of hair , whereas Emu oil will penetrate and make it silky.

  • I found some pure organic pressed coconut oil at amazon.com 16 oz jar was 18.00 but was well worth it and ur right if u use to much hair will be super greasy takes mine 2 days to absorb and your hair so be super soft and I been using for 3 months and my hair has thickened that i can't even braid it the stuff is awsome

  • @reggie02062 I found organic pressed coconut oil at the super market 14oz jar for under $5

  • @JacobCain86 Most people don't know this, but anything organic in most grocery stores really ISN'T organic. To get the real deal it's best to go to health food stores.

GOOD organic coconut oil is around 8 dollars.

  • From using it, have you found that it's thickened your hair?

  • Thank you so much! So informative! I've been doing a lot of research on coconut oil and this video helped me finally decide to buy it! :)

  • liquefies at 76 degrees btw :)

  • does it work?

  • your super cute

  • hey so ig ot a question i just got the ORS coconut oil this is my first time using anything like that so im a little confused;) should i heat it in the microwave before i use it if yes for how long? how long should i keep it on my hair should i leave it overnite? should i use it before or after i wash my hair ? sorry for so many questions would really appreciate if u could answer cuz i really cant wait to use it but i wanna do it rite:)

  • @MsJilsephonie Coconut oil does not need to be heated. Just grab some out and rub between your hands. I use it as a pre-shampoo treatment as well as after washing & conditioning to seal in moisture. I will additionally use it daily during styling if I feel I need some softening or added help sealing in moisture. Good for problem areas if you have breaking on your edges, things like that.

Google is a wonderful place to find more answers to your questions!

  • you get liquid cocunut oil in indian grocery stores.. just makes life easier. just make sure you ask assistance before you pick it cuz you don wanna pick the one thats for cooking..

  • Is it recommended for people with oily hair?

  • is it better to use refined or unrefined coconut oil? right now im using the unrefined

  • @naturalchik unrefined

  • I am going all-organic with my beauty routine, and this was very helpful! thankyou so much!

  • i read it should be left 4-5 hours or sleep with it and wash it in the morning....that's what was written on my bottle...

  • You are so beautiful.. Marry me boo.. :)

  • Kaitlyn, what would you recommend for thinning hair/balding (for males)?

  • @humanyoda Lot's of exercise = cure to everything.

  • @samprimmer1, it is not.

  • @humanyoda You going bold is in your genetics. The best think I can think of at the top of my head, is hormone replacement and lot's of exercise everyday , it probably won't work but the coconut oil definitely will not work.

On a side note to everyone else: it is called "Cold Pressed Coconut Oil", meaning no heat was used to extract the oil, that is the healthy coconut oil.

  • @samprimmer1 I wasn't looking for a brainstorming session. When you come across something proven, let me know.

Coconut oil is very stable chemically. So, "cold pressed" kind may not be any better than the kind you can get at Walmart, but usually these "cold pressed" or "organic" kinds are several times as expensive.

  • @humanyoda I know that you bald cunt, you're looking to grow some hair!! Also, cold pressed is completely different from regular coconut cooking oil where the method of extraction is heat, look up "denature" if you missed that science class..

  • @samprimmer1 Stop regurgitating buzz words blindly, you silly rabbit. Just because you are able to put letters together doesn't mean you understand things.

  • i read somewhere you should mix coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil and advocado oil, massage it into your hair and scalp and leave it on overnight before washing it out in the morning.i did this myself for a while a few nights a week and my hair actually started growing.i have really fine hair which breaks easily so if it worked for me it will probably work for others.

  • Thnx for this! N I've got reli dry ends, especially my layers, but they ain't splitting.. will this help? I don't wanna trim since they ain't splitting. Thnx

  • @beeyourself, so the coconut oil is just for the ends, not for the scalp? Thank You I love your videos =D

  • Coconut oil is incredible. For hair AND skin as a moisturiser :)

  • i like i like:D

  • Egyptianeyes76...Louana is HEAT REfined..... not beneficial for skin or ingesting....fine for hair though............

  • i like this color of hair better than yr blonde highlights.U should keep it dark.I'm a fan of relaly dark hair.I color mine black & I love it! :)

  • better looking than cindy crawford.

  • what kinda of coconut oil exactly? can the one for cooking be used? what I am suppose to be looking for, I don't leave near a wal mart or target.

  • @greymushroom1 live*

  • you look like Ashley Tisdale

  • @justGlamorouslyAlive , couldnt you more rude. I'm sorry but if you dont agree dont watch her video. I love coconut oil and have used it for year and do agree wiht her. but you dont have to be mean and rude

  • @lillott96 I didn't want to be mean or rude. But she isn't very well educated in the hair oil subject. I am a tai chi instructor, but I know info on this from students from Puerto Rico, India, China, and more. Every oil can go into the hairs cuticle, but not the cortex. Sorry messed up my comment a bit.

  • Now That I think about it., you are very correct. Olive Oil is made up of like "Gigantic" Molecules. That's Why it doesn't give you skin like acne, because the molecules are too big . And You many know That You Skin Pores are very big. So if they can't fit into your skin pores, What on Earth Make you think they can fit into your Hair's Pores ?

  • about time whites start using oil , it keeps the bugs out , thats why we don't get it

  • If you are interested ion using a nice smelling coconut oil, I did a review of Monoi tiki tahiti. I like it but I see a big difference when I use emu oil. Emu oil penetrates deeper than any other oil and it will repair damage.

  • dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnne girl:)

  • you look like emma roberts!

  • Olive oil can penetrate hairs cuticle more than coconut oil. Avocado oil can too. It is not that its molecules are small. It's the straight chain molecules. No offense you are stupid.

  • @JustGlamorouslyAlive How would she not be offended by being called stupid?

  • Coconut oil contains no protein.

  • Does it have to be "extra virgin"?

  • You remind me of a younger version of Robin from How I Met Your Mother :D

  • Comment removed

  • are you dating anyone?

  • I got a jar of 100% coconut oil and it smells like BUTTER! LOL! XD I didn't know that it had to be the extra virgin kind till I saw this video and the comments with it that said what the difference was but as long as the benefits are the same I can get the smell good kind next time :)

  • Sure, the cream may work great when put on the hair itself, but you really should liquify it and eat a spoonful. This is why you should get a good quality, organic coconut oil. It makes more sense to eat a spoonful a day, then you know your body is absorbing it. Putting it on your dead hair may help the condition, but it really needs to work from the inside. You are right, it does help your hair, but it would help it more if you consumed it.

  • You are so pretty! You remind me of Pheobe Cates ( I think thats how you spell it LOL).

  • I have been looking for 3 days can't find coconut ANYWHERE!

  • What about if you put coconut oil in hair extensions? I actually have a tub of shea butter that I thought would be of good use to me but it just makes my hair heavier and oilier and that's not what I want. I have super thin hair and my extensions are thin but since they don't grow or have roots I don't know how to keep them from having those brittle ends. So, do I use shea butter on my extensions? Or do I have to use coconut oil to make it work? Or neither? Lol:)

  • Hey, it would be great if you could post the video of you spilling it all over your computer, like an outtakes video, the expletives would be HILARIOUS to hear!

On a side note, you're obviously trying to make a biz out of social networking... not so many "umm"s and "like"s... and solidify your confidence in your speak.

Not criticizing, I build big brands and those are 2 very important areas to start when trying to gain credibility.

    :-)

  • Thanks for the info. Actually there are 3 oils that can penetrate the hair shaft, Coconut oil, olive oil and avocado oil. Though out of the 3 coconut oil penetrates most.

  • Didn't mean to post that twice:-(

  • I use equal parts of coconut oil, virgin red palm oil and grapeseed oil. Warm it up and apply to dry hair, leave on at least an hour.

Getting it out usually takes 1 wash, sometimes 2. Shampoo &condition as usual. This is great for skin too. Tropical Traditions is a great site for coconut and palm oil, they have really good prices.Grapeseed oil can be bought at Walmart. My hair is shiny and healthy, grows so fast it has to be trimmed once a month for shape.

  • I use a mixture of 1 part coconut il, 1 part virgin palm oil, and 1 part grapeseed oil. Warm it up and apply it to dry hair, leave on at least an hour.

It usually takes just one wash, sometimes two. Condition as usual. This mixture is great for skin too, but the palm oil is orange due to the carotene and might make you look like an oompha loompa:-). Tropical Traditions is where I get my coconut and palm oil, they have really good prices.

  • hey.. so the deep treatment.. do you apply the coconut oil to wet or dry hair ?? :)

  • It always makes my hair yucky and takes two washes to get out... blah... XP do you know why?

  • I think it's 76 degrees, not sure

  • you never really said how it grows your hair faster.

at least from my point of view..

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 my coconut oil smells like coconut...like a lot. i think u mite not have the right kind. if its pure coconut oil, it should smell like coconut

  • you kind of remind me of Emma Roberts :)

  • Wait, so you put in the Coconut Oil. Then you let it sit for awhile. And then you damp your hair. Put it up. and then Shampoo it after awhile? Is that what you do?.. cos the end seriously confused me. D: !

  • Hi Everyone. I've researched for a long time, but I had hair loss from the Gardasil shot (never finished the shots thank God) but when I came across coconut oil I tried it. Let me tell you after 4 yrs of the shot, my hair has grown back about 95%. When I look in the mirror I have a ton of hairs sticking out all over my scalp. I use this overnight on my hair about 2-3 times a week! This does work! I thank God for this product!

  • @bish11084 i have problem with hair loss too, i want to cry looking at my hair leaving my head lol. Just bought organic coconut oil and i hope it will help as much as for you. How long did you use it till you saw obvious result?

  • @Missix8 I posted something that will hopefully help you. Since using this mix my hair has thickened. It grows out super fast, and the scalp is very healthy (that's where it all begins). In the past growing it out was really tough, my sister even says that it's weird for me to have hair this long, because it never grew out like this before. Take care:-)

  • Does it have to be extra virgin coconut oil? >__<

  • i'm glad u said that the only way to get red of spilt ends is by trimming them off, because i'm tired of people saying products can repair spilt ends.

  • i love coconut oil. stopped using it tho.. think i will carry doing it again thought. mines organic, so extra goood!! plus i woulld put it in hair before bed, and put a touch more than beeyourself cuz it still get absorbed over night... so you get that little bit of extra moisture. but thats my experience. peace and love! !

  • awesome video! i love coconut oil. its great for cooking. im going to put it in my hair tonight! thank you!

  • Coconut oil will melt in temperatures that exceed 75 degrees....Just for people who want to know. Oh and don't put it in the fridge, it'll get rock hard and be nearly impossible to work with.

  • internet rocks! no need to move a muscle to go outside to see pretty babes.

  • Good video, I've been using coconut oil for a while now, it's the only product beside shampoo I use. I use it at night mostly, I drench my ends in it. I also use it on my legs for shiny leggies!!! Lol and I use it under my eyes as a nightly ritual. People should only use 100% organic pure coconut oil!!!!! Not anything eles! Another user has a great video, more in depth, lopsey or something like that....

  • Wow..beautiful you are alright!..Do you use it on your skin too?

  • I'm selling a product called Instant Rasta. It costs $200, but you could get it now for two easy payments of $9.99 !

  • great info...

  • hey can you use coconut oil daily to moisturize your hair?

  • @TheAnaSofie good strong sweet smell?Or musty yukky smell?

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76

Coconut oil does produce a smell but that's the bad bacteria that is exterminated

  • You. Are. Beautiful.

  • @CassieAnnaCary thank you very much! <3

  • Thanks so much for this VIDEO!!! :D Can I use it like a moisturizer for my face? would it break me out?

  • I just started using it this week :) How many times a week should I be doing a deep treatment with it? My hair is naturally curly and tends to be dry, plus I use heat tools a lot to tame my curls..

    Thanks! <3

  • @SkoolOfLanadin i would do a deep treatment with it once a week :)

  • @SkoolOfLanadin thats excatly how my hair is too!\

  • every since watching this video..im obsessed with coconut oil i use it for my skin for my hair..i love the smell. thanks this video help my hair to get better

  • Do you use it everytime you wash your hair?

  • I am trying to grow my hair long down to my waste but my hair is only just below my sholders!!!!! And i recently had to cut my ends to get rid of spit!! Its really frustrating i ve been researching everything, i stopped combing my hair after my shower, i shampoo less, i try and eat right.....my hair has grown to my elbows before...:(

  • @xs1937 sounds just like mine! ive been long hair obsessed, looking at anything and trying everything to grow my hair. im taking like 10000 different vitamins cuz im so anxious for it to grow. omg its taking so long :( dont feel bad. try scalp massages too, ive started doing that.

  • @xs1937 dont trim it till you get it to where you want then after that start the trimming...

  • Wal-mart has Spring Valley extra virgin coconut oil for $10, in the supplement isle of the pharmacy section.

  • @Zen8804 awesome! thats good to know! a lot of people ask where they can get it!

  • @Zen8804 Thanks so much I have been like crazy trying to find this in Miami :S and didn't have no look! I will go tomorrow to buy it :D

  • yea,thank you.My dad in Huntington Beach just sent me some that he found at a health food store.Its Virgin,so I can't wait.The refined is still benificial but smells very musty if you leave it in overnight!Gross lol!I will update when I get mine... :}

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 definitely let me know how it works for you! im glad you got your hands on some!

  • I actually found out why, after research! And a hint from one of your subbies.I went on the site who sells the gold label virgin kind from the Philippines.I watched the video of how theres different types of manufacturing.Mine is Refined,it is mass produced in large factories which leave it bland, tasteless and odorless. The Unrefined kind, the raw that comes directly from the meat and milk of the coconut. That is the difference. :) So Im just gonna have to go online and order!lol!Thank you sweety!

  • I have a very important question:I bought the 100% organic coconut oil from walmart :) It was on the baking isle. This jar is HUGE it is 31.5FL OZ!Plus it has no smell what so ever.It literally is odorless.Brand name is"LouAna'.It says Pure Coconut Oil.I have been using it in my hair daily, and love it.Also I put a hand full and let it melt in my hands, put it through my whole head of hair, then put my hair up in a bun and leave it in overnight.Etc.BUT WHY DOESN'T IT SMELL LIKE COCONUTS?! :) LOL.!

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 that is the strangest thing! i have no idea why it wouldnt have any scent! how weird lol

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 even if it says pure it did not say virgin or extravirgin which has the smell

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 i bought the parachute coconut oil.. it has a very strong smell.. gives me a headache

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 - hey ihad a jar of coconut oil that i got, it had no smel. i dont think it was extra virgin, and im 100% sure that it wasnt organic. so i went to a shop that sells organic stuff, and i got the real organic stuff and it smells gorgeous. the first jar was cheap. the second was more expensive. could be the way they process it maybe... but the first jar was gross looking bck.

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 I think its because that particular coconut oil is refined..but if you find unrefined extra virgin coconut oil it has a coconutty scent but NOT overly coconutty-does it have one 't' or two...anywho :) I know some coconut oil peeps will put down LouAna..but personally I have tried both and havent noticed a big difference other than my wallet being thinner and the scent..so I go with LouAna :) BTW-I dunno if anyon answered you..so thought I'd try to answer..

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 Omg, i have the same thing and i was wondering that too...

  • Comment removed

  • You basically what's tantamount to lamp oil minus the ability to light a lamp with it. You're buying a big jar of oil for a few bucks at WalMart, what did you expect?

Food-based oils ONLY maintain their quality and don't become toxic to us when extracted PROPERLY. ANY cheap brand oil, they're refined, bleached, deodorized & hot pressed as an expelling method. NONE of that is good.

Send me a message here and I can send you a bunch of info on this stuff and how to weed through BS easily.

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 it doesn't smell like coconut oil because it's refined. You'll wanna look for unrefined coconut oil, which has more protein which is better for your hair in the long run of things. :-)

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 Pure coconut oil has no smell, if it does then fragrance was added :P

  • @iSellee

i have to disagree with you, I bought my coconut oil at the health food store and both time it did have a fragrance not strong but it smalled wonderful. and yes it was organic.

  • @kimmebearable You're right, I googled it again and figured out my info was wrong, it's the refined coconut oil that has no taste/smell

  • @iSellee false. it has a smell. refined coconut oil has no smell. if coconuts themself have a scent, why wouldnt pure oil from a coconut have a scent? duhhh.

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 it's because its not virgin coconut oil.

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 If its not virgin coconut oil it won't smell like coconuts. Extra Virgin is what you want to do your hair treatments with. Coconut oil and extra virgin coconut oil are not processed the same and won't have the same benefits. :)

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76, LouAna coconut oil goes through a process that removes smell and taste of coconuts.

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 Typically if the coconut oil is odorless, that is the result of heavy processing...the kinds that tend to be non-organic. As a food supplement, that can be a bad thing, but I don't see why it would hurt in your hair. I'm a guy, and I'm bald lol, i stumbled onto this page

  • Ok,so I have a question:You said there's not any organic product that you know of that can fit into the hair's cuticle. Now since you reccomended "burts bees",isn't that organic? So will that not fit into the hairs cuticle and moisture it from the inside out?

    Your Adorable,btw!Big fan!One more question:how should I sleep in my hair?In a bun,pony,braid etc.

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 yes, that would be correct but the burts bees products do contain amounts of coconut oil in them and coconut oil can penetrate the hairs cuticle so your hair will absorb those benfits internally. i always recommend sleeping with your hair in a high pony tail secured with a safe, non elastic hair tie so that it doesnt break your hair. i use fabric headbands as hair rubberbands in my pony tail :) and thank you so much for your sweet compliment!

  • @Beeyourself7 your very welcome!Your so Pretty :) Prob#3.Mine was down to my butt.I am a Plat' Blnd,It started to break off when I removed the black streaks out of my hair.So what happend was,I ended up a few weeks later with one side of my hair being down to my butt, and the other side broken off up to the middle of my back, maybe a bit longer.I just had my hair cut yesterday. Now it's all 1 length and very healthy again.Im obsessed about keeping my ends safe this time around!Thank You Sweety. :)

  • @EGYPTIANEYES76 your welcome! and good luck keeping your ends healthy this time around! i know how hard it is. your hair sounds like its probably gorgeous though!

  • @Beeyourself7 aaah yeah, didnt think about that one. Thanks:)

  • How could it help to grow your hair if you only put it in the ends? (I do it too, though. Lol)

  • @lalielois it helps grow out your hair because it keeps the ends moisturized so they do not split and break off :)

  • hey :)

is the coconut oil you are using 100% cocnut oil?

I went to a beauty supply store recently and they only have coconut oil with other ingerdients added, such as mineral oil. woud it still be effectlve ?

thanks so much for this tip!<3

  • @jiha3x mineral oil is a very bad ingredient found in many products. the only way coconut oil will give you its full benefits is buy getting 100% virgin coconut oil :)

  • @jiha3x make sure it's unrefined.

  • I am trying this!!! thanks!!!

    xoxo meg

  • @22mharvey your welcome!!
