  • @supergansta Subaru pulled out of rally a few years back but in sure theyll be back, I think it's got to do with them wanting to be a good production brand with their cars not only for rally but for family vehicles I mean loo at how the impreza changed for 2012.

When I and my little brother went for his Red Bull's rookie cup tryouts everyone was amazed by the kart racers and the drivers doing trackdays. So you should stop talking buddy.

  • Holy shit guys. Shutup about motorcycles rawr, and them being better. Just appreciate this awesome ass save. Of course cycle's go faster, there smaller, but there also easier to control then a car that weighs a ton.

  • @cacman1993 Are you fucking retarded? Motorcycles are far from esier to control. To change the direction the car is traveling you just move the stearing wheel and manipulate the throttle. On a motorcycle it's a dance. You have to change your body postion on the bike constantly, and every change of direction is a fight to over come the centripital force of both wheels and a crank shaft that is spinning away at 20,000rpm. To get the bike to reverse a turn takes all the strength you've got!

  • @cacman1993 There is a word for that, over correction. A good driver wouldn't have had to struggle with it so much. Like I said, any formula one driver could have done better. The fact is, it only looked so dramatic because the driver over reacted to a slight wiggle. Over correct like that on a bike and you go into head wobble and you slap into the stones. about 40 people have died on that section of the course due exactly to that.

  • @Polybun no you haven't. 1) Going uphill the fork would be loaded so you wouldn't get tank slap 2) It's in the middle of Douglas. How would you manage that on a public road, with traffic, up a an incredibly steep hill 3) You're a knob

  • @vtwin77 and when you crest it, then what? And you certainly can get head wobble when the fork is loaded. Basically any input to the fork can upset the balance and get the bike wobling if the bike isn't very stable. Now, in order to be able to lever one of these machines over at 180mph, you have to intentionally set it up very unstable.

Motocycles go through there at 40mph faster than he was going, and if you think they don't crash ocasionaly there, consider that there have been 277 fatalities in the history of the TT.

  • Gotta respect Mark Higgins for this; it may not be as spectacular as the bikes but he had some skills to do it, especially collecting it at the bottom of Bray Hill - reactions to keep a hold of it was super fast.

    of course you have to consider the fact that this was a stock subaru, not just any ridiculously expensive sports car.

  • Wow, this is a mostly STOCK car. The fact he was able to achieve this with only around 250hp at the wheels. And AWD does just about NOTHING for you at such high speeds. When one of you pulls this off, ill shut up. But he's a pro, and struggled to achieve this time with only 2 practice laps, realistically this is VERY impressive. Now Nissan should put a standard spec GT-R on the track to see how it compares, I bet it won't be THAT much faster.
