@DragonWagon6 dropping the load decreases resistance, higher the ohms = more resistance, it wont increase heat clipping is the main cause for heat, your gonna need more than just a highout pit alt for good electrical, 2 batts on a stock alt is better than 1batt on highout put alt, the highoutput alt just makes sure batts stay recharged. it would only get hot if your clipping. electrical wont burn an amp up unless you have a bad ground the amp will protect before it burns up due to bad electrical

@DragonWagon6 in order to drop ANY amp lower than what its rated at you need a VERY good electrical system, most amps wont run lower than 1 ohm on stock electrical or even big three, they need very good and efficient electrical to run lower than nominal
