I am bothered by the notion that the libertarian movement starts with the American old right, when the American old right, to the extent that it indeed was a libertarian movement, was the leftover remnants of the old left (who had nowhere else to go once the American left had been taken over by state-socialists).
I think you anarchist youtube guys should talk a lot more about pre-constitutional America. For a while you yankies (lol!) had some degree of economic freedom, as harsh and undeveloped an environment as colonial America likely was at that time. Am I right in thinking there was almost a sort of anarcho-capitalist society functioning for a while? Also, what crazy-ass U.S accent does that Jeffrey Tucker guy have?!

The very old American left is the old american right. They became the State after the American revolution (or maybe a few years after that).
