Never saw this beautiful place since we crossed the Pyrenees at his highest place at Breche de Roland 2808 m and entered Spain via Ordesa. Joint El Camino in Puenta la Reina. That was 20 years ago and 20 kilos less hope i can get up those cliffs again. Remembers me at another part of my life since i wasn't a father at that time, but don't worry i found "El Camino" an it still goes on. Even if i do not know where it will end.
Your Refugio was the best start for my camino. I always told the pilgrims how wonderful it was and I know, someday I will come back to Sant Jean Pied de Port and to Esprit de Chemin!
What a wonderful lot of photos you have put together. They bring back such good memories of the two days I stayed with you at the end of last May. A chance to be refreshed and revived for the climb over the Pyrenees.
