Ethanol is a poor fuel. It is corrosive and hygroscopic it may be fine in cars but it has become a big problem in the boating and recreational aviation fields.

ethanol is not biodiesel. Completely different process; biodiesel is a chemical reaction, ethanol is fermentation. big difference and completely different fuels with different qualities.
and the solution is not to drill more! petroleum is destroying our country, and the world. do some research on peak oil and global warming, and you'll quickly sing a different tune.

the solution is to drill more. we have more oil in the crust than we will be able to use in thousands of years.methanol is not econimaclly viable.

Sure, using agricultural wastes as a fuel source is a great idea, but don't fool yourself into thinking that biofuels will save the day. Per unit of energy released by burning, biofuel produces more carbon dioxide than traditional gasoline. Its advantages are economic, not environmental.
