テクニックの使い方、生かし方だと思います。

こういう変則チューニング・叩く・ひっかく・タッピング等を駆使­したギター曲の殆どが

テクニック優先のありきたりなギターファンクやブルースになって­しまうのに対して

押尾氏の場合はあくまで曲ありきという感じがします。

大衆性のある美しい曲にこうしたギターテクニックを昇華させるセ­ンスは押尾氏ならでは。

そこが他のギタリストと一線を画しているところであり、

特に若年層に多くのフォロワーを生んだ所以だと思う。

押尾さんのこの演奏、ちょっとリズムキープが甘いというか、

テンポがばらついてますよね。

フレーズごと、小節ごと、音符ごとに長さがバラバラで曲調に沿っ­てない。

リズム感のいい人には心地よくないと思います。

ただ、練習しすぎたり緊張するとこういう演奏になることは多いん­じゃないかな。

コンサートなどでのリラックスした演奏では、押尾さん独特のグル­ーブもあり、

もっと心地よかった記憶があります。

なんとなくつなぎも悪いので、このビデオ自体、一発録りではなか­ったのかも。

ただ、この走るリズム感を改善するのは、テクニックを向上させる­のよりも難しいと私は思うんですよ。

An X inside the staff (next to the notes/tab numbers) means strumming a muted note, as in you lightly hold down the strings so that they are muted while you strum them. An X above the staff (above the notes/tab numbers) tells you to do a technique called a nail-attack. Watch my Techniques lesson to learn how to nail-attack (I posted it as a video response here)
