No EOTechs are not sold on Wal-Mart shelves.

They are a military Holographic CQB weapons sight.

I think you may be thinking of the little cheap Barska Reflex sight. I have one and they work but I like my EOTech MUCH more.

Because EOTech have more problems! A 3x magnifier (which is not a scope) can be added to any red dot. Eotech is the bottom of the barrel, for the range, who cares, but to put your life on one...well, I would not do it, you go right ahead!

Again, for those who cannot read, Pat Rogers, one of the most respected AR trainers in the world is the one who pointed out the problems with the EOTech, I just learn from the best. You may not agree, so...you dont watch my six and my shooters can shoot just as well with Irons. Care to list YOUR qualifications to tell me whats the best?

Gear snoob, no way! Those things are notorious for failures, eating batteries when turned off, the on/brightness switch is a @#$%^ to get to with BUIS or gloves. Pat Rogers, who teaches 100's of AR classes a year to the best is the one who pointed this out, not I. If your going to spend the money, go with Aimpoint or Trijicon, thats all. Keep shooting!

They are AF. I'd like to see the targets though. The guy in DCUs had a nice rig but in the video when he was reloading he reached for a mag out of his pocket instead of the rig. Not very realistic training. Looks cool though.

Very cool, that camera just made my Christmas wish list. BTW, the camera movement is icy smooth and fluid. Were you using a dolly or is it just the camera's optical stabilization?

I was using a Cartoni Focus tripod. The optical stabilization is not that great compared to DV cameras.  One of the sacrifices of HD I guess. The camera is awesome, takes a bit of getting used to as quick focusing is much more difficult on HD as well (autofocus is not really an option for on-the-fly filming like this).
