  • Thanks Rae, I will try it out. Like always, you are so helpful and nice.

  • #2

  • I love that you end with, "Ladies and gentlemen," it shows that you recognize EVERYONE who finds the art of makeup fascinating without stereotyping women as the only ones who do :)

And by the way (awkward transition), who do you like the hourglass calligraphy pen?

  • @dorizzztown Yes, I do my best to include everyone :) And I like it because the pigment is great. The ink wears well! I just wish it were more a little cheaper. Then I'd love it!

  • Hi Rae! I have a question: I've noticed that you stopped using the Shiseido eyebrow pencil and have switched to the Shu Uemura one! What's the difference between the two and why is the Shu one better? Thanks so much! I love your videos!

  • @forevermc8 The Shu Uemura hard formula only works where there is actually hair so it provides a softer brow look. The Shiseido is a normal, full-pigment pencil and can give my brows an ultra-black look if I wanted to build it up. It's also more waxy! I just wanted to change it up. I don't prefer one over the other :)

  • Finally, a good cut crease tutorial! Love it!

  • Hi Rae, this looks really suits you! I think I will try it as well. Quick question, I have under eye circles that are slightly red/purple at times, what corrector or concealer would you recommend? Thank You!!

  • @laylacristina822 Bobbi Brown's corrector! It's also great for dry eyes :)

  • Ok Rae so I'm really interested in trying the Dr.Brandt skincare line but I'm curious as to what you think of the brand. I'd greatly appreciated it if you'd do a review of some of his products. Thanks Sweetheart muuaaahhhh

  • @arteest94 I used to use his Pores No More primer but then it gave me blackheads. I'm not a big fan of his skincare. I prefer Peter Thomas Roth!

  • Hey beautiful! :) Thanks for the tutorial.

Can you make a video on make up basics and must-haves for people that would like to start off with eyeshadows and what not? I only use eyeliner and I want to move into eyeshadow but I don't know where to start with brushes, types of brushes, colors of shadow, and so on.

  • Love this look, looks great on you!

  • Hi Rae, I have a quick question: for your everyday make-up routine, do you wear foundation/powder everyday or do you switch off with wearing concealer/powder everyday and foundation only on special occasions? thank you!

  • @RelenaChung15 I actually don't wear make-up every day but if I do, I wear Chantecaille's tinted moisturizer with a dusting of D&G's powder foundation to set it. I only recently started using concealer regularly because I started using a treatment concealer but even then, I only use it if I'm wearing a base - never alone :)

  • WOW, i think i can do this look too! thanks so much!!

  • Noway I will ever be able to draw such a perfect line! You have a stiff hand!)

  • Beautiful

  • U r soo beautiful!

  • Hi this is random... but which contacts are you wearing? It looks so beautiful! (:

  • Very pretty :D

  • hey Rae, do you still use Lancome Genifique Concentrate? How long does a bottle (1.7oz I think) last you? Thanks, and love your vids!

  • This look is so gorgeous!

  • very lovely! and this make-up look really suits you!

  • i really really love this look on you!!! one of my favourites!!

  • It actually looks really natural. Very nice. I think I will try this out.

  • ..."and im gonna take some VIRGIN"--thats what she said. :) peace!

  • i think you look the best wearing this look among all the rest of tutorials you did Rae!

  • Best cut crease turorial i've seen so far on youtube! Great job on step by step, Reaview!

  • Really great simple cut crease look!! ;) pretty()

  • Really love this look!!!! Eyes so amazing thanks :3

  • What do you use to remove your eye makeup? I find that I don't get too creative with eye looks because I absolutely hate the eye makeup removal process. I'm at the point that curled lashes are all I want to do, despite the tons of liners and shadows at my disposal. Thanks!

  • @ollicehunter I always use Lancome's Bi-Facil! Sometimes, I use Shu Uemura cleansing oils if I don't feel like using a cotton pad :)

  • i love this look! i also like your nails :3 hm.. idk if its just me, but your face is slightly slimmer in this video.

  • this look is so awesome! :)

  • what eyebrow pencil did you use for your brows in this tutorial? I checked your blog but it's not there

  • Love this look!

  • Is it possible to do this look on mono lids?

  • since I changed from drugstore products to designer ones, you are my favourite make-up guru :) Your looks are awesome and are a great inspiration to me.

  • What I like about your videos is that you don't just say "ladies", you include the guys also ! Women are not the only ones that wear make up, I thank you for that ! Love this tutorial ! I actually want to buy the Naked pallet. I need new eye shadows ! :D

  • @lilpnoy16 Yes, I respect my male viewers very much! I know you're out there so thanks for watching <3

  • yet another look i must take time to try!!

  • Hey Rae, I realise this is a summer look but could you please do a nude 'glossy' eye look that sometimes gets featured in summer editions of magazines? I have no idea what product could be used to create that glossy look but that is safe to use on eyes.

  • @ellie5483 Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream :)

  • my eye lids are hooded, but it doesnt show a lot of the hood space... so it appears like monoeyelids at first sight....what would you recommend to do instead? and do you happen to know any gurus that have similar eyes to me? :S

  • You are by far my favorite of all make up gurus!! You are so professional yet personable. Ps: I have and love that Laura mercier lipgloss, good choice!!

  • OMG Rae these circle lenses combined with black eyeliner and just WOW. You look so gawjus!

You're the exampe that God sometimes gives with both hands :)

  • this is a good look on you!

  • I love. your nail polish.

  • so pretty! TY!

  • That look is really pretty

  • Hey Rae, I'm about a NC30-NC35. Which bronzer do you suggest for me? I want a bronzer for contouring.

  • @lovexpanda Try the D&G Tan :)

  • Thank you! That was really beautiful! :)

  • the number of brushes you use is a bit daunting. *gulp*

  • First cut crease that looked simple AND practical enough to try. Great job :)

  • Im gonna try this later for my saturday look! Very pretty =)

  • THANK YOU for this! definitely will try~

  • I love it, gonna try out this look today =D

  • love your tutorial :)

  • i've never tried a cut crease look before since i'm asian and i don't think it's gonna look good on my eye shape. but this looks really good on you! and it seems very easy to do too! i'm gonna try it soon. thanks for the tutorial. you're very pretty. :)

  • You are so beautiful! I love your tutorials so much, and your voice is so soothing xxx

  • rae! you look gorgeous as usual! stunning look! and i love how you get through your tutorial so effortlessly with such class <3 i would love you meet you someday! :)

  • Great job, as usual...pretty eye look. Very retro. Reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor or Audrey Hepburn. Off topic - do you have a vid for highlighters? If not, what are some favorites? (liquid, powder, etc., doesn't matter) I'm looking for one without sparkles. Just a nice realistic, shimmer/glow. TIA

  • @ClementineCutie Hmm, definitely try Edward Bess South of France! I'll post a review soon :)

  • rae! you look gorgeous as usual! stunning look! and i love how you get through your tutorial so effortlessly with such class <3 i would love you meet you someday! :)

  • This is a great look on you. Its like you own it lol

  • Your eyes so beautiful !

  • Dumb question, but how can you tell if colors are too "warm" or too "cool" for you? Is there a way to determine which is better?

  • @mzcarolyn It's mostly personal preference :)

  • cut crease actually works very beautifully with your eyes, rae!

  • Omg you are the only person who makes the cut crease easy to do. I will def try this now. And you're right, the gradient look looks better than the sharp line.

  • this is the first time i've ever liked a cut crease tutorial, definitely going to try it!

  • love it!

if you have time rae, can you check out my channel? it would mean the world to me!

    -henny(:

  • gorgeous, what mac dupe would be similar to vanilla nuts please.

  • @keiranjamie The closest color to Vanilla Nuts from MAC is Brule, a touch cooler!

  • WOW this looks very proffesional and it suits you very well!

  • Gorgeous! Love you!

  • do you think you'll end up buying the UD2?

  • Always love your hair! It's nice and simple:)

  • I don't normally wear a cut crease but I am definitely going to try this!

  • omg, this is soo pretty

  • What do you recommend if you don't have that much eyelid space? My socket is literally 3~5mm away from my brow bone....

  • @alsrudtj124 It could still work if you use very little eyeliner! The more you practice and tinker with the look, the more you'll see that it's definitely possible :)

  • I appreciate how often you post videos! Love it :)

  • @ 5:34 did u draw liek a scorpion on your left hand with a sharpy? :p

  • @missravenashley I was cleaning off the excess product of the Hourglass liner :)

  • I've always wanted to achieve this look! I have finally learned from you, the best and informative way!

  • Do you own any armani blushes? How do they compare to the D&G? I am absolutely OBSESSED with the GA powder blushes (My favorite is number 5 which the sublime agent recommended) and it KILLS ME that i forgot about the armani friends and family sale cause i wanted more... but i'll deff be checking out the D&G next time in in a saks :)

  • @JJar18 I own a few and they're very finely milled. It just depends on what colors you're looking for! I personally prefer the color range of the D&G blushes :)

  • would D&G's blush Tan be a good contour color even for fairer skins? or would it look muddy?

  • @norajulae Try Burberry's Earthy instead!

  • you're so perfect :(

  • I really enjoyed this one. Rae, do you like the Hourglass caligraphy pen? Also, I took your advice and purchased the Chanel Perfection Lumiere in Beige 40 and it was a perfect match! I love it thanks!!!

  • @personaldossier I'm glad to hear the color was a match! I do like the Calligraphy pen but nothing beats my Lancome Artliner :)

  • love the look!

  • You actually look STUNNING in this make up look!

  • You're so cute

  • this is gorgeous! really love this look..are you asian?

  • gorgeous look, great tutorial!

  • ooh I love this. this may be my fav tutorial from you :) Except that I don't have the naked palette.. I'm on project 10 pan! But I'm gonna find dupes in my collection and work this look out!

  • holy moly, I'm super impressed how perfectly you drew the cut line! I'm jealous of your steady hand.

  • Very pretty Rae xx

  • Very pretty Rae xx

  • You should wear this more often! Love it on you!!!

  • did u get plastic surgery for your double lid?

  • very beautiful! what colors would you recommend if you didn't have the naked palette?

  • @lusshhhhh Whatever matte eggshell eyeshadow and shimmery browns/bronzes you have on hand! :)

  • Loved that tutorial...such a great effect with the sharp line (tape)...You do it very well, and I love LM products too...Thanks

  • You are as stunning as always, soo jealous. I love all your videos. Keep them coming.

  • Damn, for an Asian person - you have a lot of lid space unlike me, a monolid.

  • Wow, Rae! You should do a cut crease more often. It looks really lovely on you :) Also do you have any high hopes for Naked 2? Is Naked 2 supposed to be a cooler toned palette or...? I'm loving the metal packaging of 2 though! The only thing that stopped me from buying the original Naked palette was the fact that the packaging got so dirty so quickly! xx

  • vanilla nuts. i love the name (:

  • I love your contats they suit you so well the color like perfectly... :D I've grey eyes too but, mine have blue/yellow specks makes them mixed tech. but menh n they vary how they appear gray/green/blue rarely does the yellow dominate.

  • i just thought of an idea watching this video. if you use those stickers to make double eyelids and apply makeup like your tutorial, it will be easier and make dramatic cut crease effect .

  • Great video! I really loved it. I have a bridal shower to go to tomorrow and I'm going to try it out. Can you please recommend any dupes for vanilla nuts

  • I LOVE THIS LOOK ON YOU.

  • Personally, I like the way you speak. It makes it a lot easier for a hard of hearing person such as myself to be able to understand you. That person has not heard of a monotone voice before if she thinks you sound monotone.

  • I've never tried a cut crease, but you are making me interested in trying it out! :)

  • I love this look on you!!!

  • im going to pick up some virgin, lol. 8D

  • Very pretty. I'm also more of a "soft" look but you pull this off. Also, are you going to get the Naked 2 palette?

  • I think that your videos have the best level of clarity:)) I really love your videos~

  • Hey Rae this look is fabulous, I was just wondering where you purchased your contacts from and whats the name of it because its just so stunning.

  • REA ! are your in a planing to purchase the new UB Naked 2 ? ? ? What are your thoughts about the new palette is it worth the buy? is the first better ?? I need help!!

  • Very helpful tutorial - I now know what a "cut crease" is :) that tape is a great idea too x

  • OMG i love it :D! and the way you did this really helped me, you made it much simpler the way you explained it., Great job :D.

  • lol sorry if this is stupid but is that a new tattoo on your hand or just a smudge?

  • @mpennine No, it's eyeliner :)

  • This is gorgeous! Actually the first time I've encountered a "cut-crease" tutorial, and now I can't wait to try it out. You're the best. (:

  • Nakked palette!!!! Aaahh!!

  • I actually love your videos because of the way you speak. You don't sound monotonous to me at all.

  • GREAT VID def going to try this!

  • would you ever recommend this look (or a variation of it) for monolids?

  • @no1stunnahhh Of course!

  • Love it! I will try this out soon :)

  • you're amazing! what colour are your contacts? xo

  • Love your tutorial! <3

In your opinion, between Geo Tri Color Grey circle lens and Queenie Royal Grey circle lens, which one you think is more comfortable to wear? Thanks alot!!

  • i think i'm gonna do this for my prom next week :D

  • Love your professional voice! How can ppl not see that you live makeup?

  • sweet rae, do you recommend the DG tan blush for a NC15-20? I love the tutorial but I have very limited space between my crease and my eyebrow. Any suggestions so as to how to wear this look? You look great!

    xx

  • I like it. I'm gonna try this. :)

  • How do you get the whites of your eyeballs to be so "white" while wearing contacts? I get bloodshot eyes sometimes and would love to hear what eye contact solutions you use. Thanks, Rae! =)

  • Love it!! How do you like the hourglass liner? :)

  • Hi Rae!!! It has been forever since I've left a comment! You look absolutely stunning!!!

  • @divaesquire14 I missed you! Hope you've been well <3

  • This is SO PRETTY!!! I've never tried a cut crease before but after watching your video I think I'm going to give it a shot, Thanks!! :D

  • what a great look--i like that you chose to go with neutrals. i've never heard of a cut crease, but do you think this would work on a monolid eyeshape? i have no folds in my eyelids what so ever. thanks for a lovely tutorial as always

  • pretty! btw do you have bangs or is your hair just layered and parted to the side?
