Okay, to the guy who's an atheist and doesn't believe that Christianity is a valid belief system and believes that it doesn't hold up philosophically, you obviously haven't read any Alvin Plantinga or William Lane Craig. Both of these men I mentioned are Christians, but also philosophical giants...well respected by the secular philosophical community. Be careful that you don't make blanket statements about philosophers, because there are plenty out there who believe in God.

LOL. William Lane Craig is not taken seriously at all outside Christendom, especially not by the "secular philosophical community" (whatever that is). No modern philosophers cite his work. You have no basis whatsoever for your claim.

Almost every secular philosopher I have ever met knows that Lane Craig is a force to be reckoned with and acknowledges his expertise and depth of philosophical prowess. If you don't know what the 'secular philosophical community' is then you're not in much of a position to be talking about their opinions.

Um............its the Holy Spirit that leads us into all truth - seems to me Driscoll is perpetuating the male dominated brash narrow type of religion. Driscoll, here, is speaking to methodology being rooted in theology. The Holy Spirit is the One who gives theology because he gave us the Bible (2 Tim 3:16). He is not being contradictory at all.

And I am at a lost at your "always angry" comment.

Sounds like you just have an agenda against him and the Bible's declaration of homosexuality as sin.

You know, it would be nice if you could back up your claims with any tangible proof, but instead you just spout out one sentence... and leave it at that. Viciousd, your "Love exists therefore god exists" claim rests on a sorely obvious assumption; namely, that god is love.

If you're simply saying that the feeling/state that we all call 'love' is your idea of god, then sweet.

But if you mean that god embodies love and on top of that also has agency and morals and all the other features demanded by theism, then your idea is a silly one, sorry.
