Cant answer the first question properly - sorry. Roof is well insulated, will insulate walls when I have finished fitting windows and doors, there is thermal paint on the container, thermilate. - (tiny ceramic beads with vacuum inside). Had to paint container green to begin with so as not to offend locals but will be painting white or a less heat absorbent colour when the structural work in complete.

Hey, I'm planning on building & designing a container house myself. Where would be the best land in the uk to buy. Becuase it seems that in cities the land is as much as the cost of the final house built. Have you insulated your house, maybe try painting the outside white.
