This is so awesome! I am looking at the 2013 Louisville Ironman for myself. Congrats! Was the bike you rode a road bike or a tt?

@aaronmwheeler It was a roadbike that I had refit with aerobars and a "tri" fit. Would not recommend the extra expense of a TT bike and zip wheels unless you have tons of money to spend or you are trying for some extraordinary time. My carbon orbea was great.

@lobstersounds What do you mean a "tri fit"? Was your road bike a full carbon? Realistically, the goal is to finish and enjoy myself. I am not an elite athlete with any chance of finishing "in the money". This is just something I want to do (maybe several times) to prove to myself I can do it and push myself to the limits. Any other advice on training or equipment would be a great help!
