I fully agree. The Fushigi is a complete and utter rip-off. Why? Because it's an over-priced, shoddily made contact juggling ball. You can get a CJ ball that is worlds better and about half the price, if you know where to look. Or heck, you can start by using tennis balls and oranges, that's how I did it, haha. It is an extremely fun hobby though, and I'd suggest anyone giving it a try if they have any interest. Just not so much by purchasing a Fushigi.

The fushigi actually isn't a bad contact juggling beginner tool. I have heard people learning it get the $60 acrylic balls and end up busting up their floors because they are so heavy and drop it. Its really just a cheap version to start out on and not waste a lot of money just in case you can't pick it up. When you start to get better, move onto a different ball! Some people practice with oranges but the fushigi is similar in weight and smoother so its up to the person. but its not "fake".

really it's not as much of a rip off as most of the stuff on tv, I bought one along time ago, cause of I wanted to learn how to contact juggle and I bought it cause it was cheep and the right size, it works for me, but it's really just too light.
I got the fushigi as a gift, and I for one think it's worth it. The vid helped me get the ins and outs of it and instantly I started making my own small tricks.
Most of the floating ball tricks are very easy to do. Takes maybe an hour to learn. Now the david bowie tricks with the ball going from back to front of the hand take some practice. Couple weeks and you can do all the stuff you see in those commercials.
Well, that's what you get when you trust advertising campaigns... ripped off. Personnally I'll stick with my good old practice and determination doing some CONTACT JUGGLING. Damn I saw those ads and I thought what a load of crap. Wonder if they pay Mosher some royalties for having invented the concept of contact juggling.

I got the fushigi as a gift, and I for one think it's worth it. The vid helped me get the ins and outs of it and instantly I started making my own small tricks.

Most of the floating ball tricks are very easy to do. Takes maybe an hour to learn. Now the david bowie tricks with the ball going from back to front of the hand take some practice. Couple weeks and you can do all the stuff you see in those commercials.

If you think it is floating in the commercial then you are a typical dumb consumer that believes everything you see on TV. It is painfully obvious that the ball is nothing special and the "tricks" can be done with any ball. The slick, shiny ball makes it hard to see it rotating. Send me $19.99 plus $6.99 s&h instead.
