  • Republicans think 'socialism' will cause the end of the world...so it's true! Theists believe in God so...he exists!

oh made up stats, making people reject real stats in real science ;(

  • Nice video.

  • subbed!!!

  • I'm half and half, so I can say whatever I want mother fucker so there! Think I'll go have a conversation near a dock. Victory is mine!

  • @mistereveready: selling yourself into slavery is shameful. Shameful I tell you!

  • @integralmath Well I work for myself for free. Luckily no beatings occur.

  • @integralmath I'm too cheap to pay myself. So if I want stuff done, that is my only option. Even if I outsourced I'd still end up paying someone and that just won't do.

  • Feminism: Fighting for women's rights to humiliate, lunch, ridicule and organize mobs to lynch unattractive guys.

  • Well done, sir! Bravo on the spot-on analysis! having lived in Berkeley in the 1990s, I got so fed up with being yelled at and accused of patriarchal sexism just for politely holding up a door for a dumb bitch...oh shit, sorry ladies...oh shit that's sexist to call you a lady sorrysorrysorry...a door for a WOMYN...a mature independent thinking for herself about all the sex quizs she reads in Cosmo and has a box of Good Vibrations vibrators under her otherwise empty bed WOMYN....(TBC)

  • @almishti that can only perform gestures of cowering respect for the imperious goddesses who rightfully refuse me any physcial contact...um, what was I talking about?

OH! Yes, you really hit the nail into the barn side of a broad. Thank you! :)

  • I have a relative who has been in law enforcement for 22 yrs. He is a domestic violence/rape detective. That's all he does. I asked him to estimate the percentage of false rape claims he sees. He says that 10% are DEFINITELY false and another 10-15% are probably false but they are unable to pursue the case because it is a crime for a law enforcement officer to ask a woman to take a lie detector test. Most false rape claimants are never prosecuted because they have to openly admit they lied.

  • @MrTruthAddict Most false rape claimants have no idea it is a crime to do so and feel entitled to use this as a weapon. Many divorce, child custody, and infidelity situations are a good opportunity for a woman to pull the rape card. Husband or his friends saw you with someone other than your husband? Claim rape. Want custody of your kids and a good alimony/support settlement? Claim their dad raped you. Want your green card to be approved? Claim rape. Racist? Claim a black man raped you.

  • @MrTruthAddict: I have no opinion on that as I don't have access to statistics.

  • @integralmath Just giving you a glimpse into the world of a detective who handles this kind of thing. The guys on the force give my relative a hard time for 'always' believing the claimant. The old timers have become so jaded because they have seen so many false claims that they start to look at these claims with suspicion. Many times when they inform the claimant that making a false report is a crime, they quickly recant. Detectives don't like people wasting resources/taxpayer dollars

  • I really really like you, good job pointing out exactly what's annoying about this whole thing.

    I am watching you now.

  • @NShimaru: just don't invite me out to coffee because, you know, rape and all.

  • @integralmath I don't drink coffee.

    I am socially awkward though.

Want to hang out? I will not molest you.

  • @NShimaru: coffee date rape or GTFO!

  • @integralmath But I'm not good at the whole rape thing.

    And I don't drink coffee.

  • @integralmath lol

  • Thank you. Substitute Rebecca for Richard Dawkins, and elevator guy for a black man. This is exactly the argument that's being made. I'm baffled.

  • @mariocobos2001 Yeah, I made that comparison in one of the threads, and saw other people making it. The response? Deafening silence.

  • Integral, thoughts on this. Women are using the Schroedinger's Rapist idea because they claim they are minorities under threat by the male patriarchy. So therefore, the opposite (Schroedinger's Fake Rape Victim) is not founded. Does having minority status remove the stupidity of the idea in anyway? I mean, Muslims in the U.S. are minorities does that mean we should respect their stupid ideas of homophobia, or even misogyny?

  • @NeuroVeg: to claim that women are a minority is to demonstrate a colossal failure of arithmetic. Of course the idea of Schroedeinger's Fake Rape Victim is stupid; that's the reason I wrote it. It is stupid for the same reason that the thing to which it is responding is stupid. The number of people who think a thing does not actually change the nature of whether the thing is stupid or wise - as goes the saying, if 10,000 people say a stupid thing, it's still a stupid thing.

  • @integralmath Agreed. My personal view is that the feminists in the U.S. want to believe they are minorities. Clearly, in the U.S. that's not the case as ZomgItsCriss has already demonstrated. I'm not saying Fake Rape Victim is stupid, I think it's pretty good at demonstrating the stupidity of the s.rapist idea. What I was thinking is that if we grant that women are minorities this still does not make the S. Rapist idea any valid or a good idea. As if minority status = good ideas.

  • @NeuroVeg There are minorities and there are minorities. A group can be a numerical minority (which women are not) and still be a majority politically (which women tend to be nowadays). In 72% of all households, financial decisions are made by women. White women are the biggest benefactors of Affirmative Action (because employers would rather hire a white woman than any other "minority") But hey, playing victim brings more political power so why quit while you're ahead?

  • With that said, I'm glad there are feminists who are vocal about not agreeing with everything some radical feminists would want us to believe.

  • @NeuroVeg: I have no use whatever for feminism, and I think it's offers only an ethically dubious proposition. At least in its current iteration. Unless there is no distinction between it and humanism, then I must decline the privilege of being included in it. I do not support discrimination irrespective of whom it targets.

  • @integralmath I read your post about taking a humanist stance. Feminism creates gender apartheid; uh oh that might open up a can of worms. Saying you're a humanist and that all humans are included is much better.

  • @NeuroVeg: when I was told that feminism was a movement which was inclusive and promoted equality of all peoples, I thought it was redundant but perfectly acceptable. Having seen what it's become à la Rebecca Watson et al, it is diseased and needs to be resisted. Apparently, to actually advocate for perfectly equal status for all people is to court controversy. Rebecca Watson wants us all to be equal, just in different brackets. Thank you, no.

  • @integralmath So well thought out. Love it.

  • @integralmath I read a comment off of Phil Plait (BadAstronomer's) website from his post supporting the diseased position RW et al hold. The comment went something like, if all men are viewed as potential rapists that leads to burkas. One reason burkas are worn is because of the notion that all men are lusting over women so women should cover everything. I don't see any of the women wearing burkas in this country, but I also don't like that we're using the same tone that Islam uses. Thoughts?

  • @NeuroVeg: it's amusing except for one inconvenient fact: women are in burkas. And no, it's not because men can't restrain themselves. It's to subjugate women. Phil Plait fails to realize, as his wife fails to realize, that her most likely candidate for raping her is statistically Phil Plait, not some dude on an elevator.

  • @NeuroVeg: I think we're agreed in all essential respects, just that one of us has a didn't flavor or writing than the other. Each of us carries through life different fears and concerns. This doesn't impose upon the remaining nearly 7 billion people the slightest burden to do anything. I will not be told that I should cross the street because as I'm walking down the street, someone in front of me might be irrationally in fear that I exist in proximity to them. Fuck that.

  • I' m a schroedinger rapist, me so saaad ;(

  • I was watching that video "feminism explained" lol its pretty good satire.

  • @TekLok: have a link to it?

  • @integralmath /watch?v=05ro6fcj6Ek Here you go enjoy!

  • So even if I am a male virgin I am also a rapist?

  • @TekLok: yes, welcome to equality.

  • @TekLok A homosexual male virgin wheelchair bound castrato lol

  • @TekLok: all men are rapists. Aren't you keeping up here? Legless, armless goatherders of the Basmatti Kasaar fame - rapist.

  • @integralmath Ok right here's a good one. What about a woman that transgenders to a male? Is that still rapetown? Maybe I should ask a feminist that one. I can't wait to see a response by one here!

  • @TekLok: silly man. Even if you went male to female, you'd still be a rapist. You see, you were born with a dick, and will always therefore oppress women. Even if you become one. Transgender? Nope, not a real woman, bitch - get out of the club.

But if you go female to male, well, then you can enjoy your new found status as a rapist.

And these women wonder why everyone dismisses them. They're a joke.

  • @integralmath So in that way you can be both the rapist and the victim at the same time. I think I'm catching onto a conspiracy here. Its infiltration and sabotage!

  • @integralmath

Doesn't having a gender reassignment operation simply prove that you are biased against women with penises?

  • @TheRationalizer: now THAT needs to be a tshirt.

  • Does Skeptifem just show up on the Pharyngula comments section, or does PZ Myers actually endorse her views. If so, I'm pretty disappointed in PZ. An ideology as irrational as radical feminism is the very opposite skepticism and rationalism.

  • @iamcuriousblue: i haven't seen him actually say he specifically endorses skeptifem, no. And unlike many in the atheist community, I'm able to make the distinction between "doesn't publicly rebuke __" to be different than "i fully support ___" He's not guilty for what his readers think. Instead, I can just find what he has said wrong. Unlike blaghag, skepchick and that lot, I don't have to think that someone who is wrong is wrong because they're not as smart as I am. Or hateful.

  • @iamcuriousblue: one has to question one's views if to defend it requires dismissing everyone who disagrees as: hateful, oppressive, stupid, and collecting groups of people to throw under the bus to make the point. Sorry, saying that all men are putative rapists, and anyone who doesn't agree is *causing* rape isn't a defensible position. It's hate speech. I will not be called a rapist for daring to think my not raping anyone actually acquits of me the accusation. I'm a stupid faggot though.

  • @MrLordLaws I think she'd really like the misandric ambience, getting to rage all over men verbally, getting to call anything she wants 'rape', frequent victimhood-indulging fests, etc. It would be like she died and went to Andrea Dworkin heaven. She could become BFF with Skeptifem (not to be confused with Skepchick). She could enjoy that every comment thread will bring up rape culture and spell men as TehMenz™

Although she might be a little tiny shit on too big a pile there. Here it's opposite.

  • @MrLordLaws The commenter group at Pharyngula is every bit, if not more, insane than our dear Nuke. We should try and see if they'll take her off of our hands. :)

  • @ScentedNectar: if she shows up there, I'm bringing my fainting couch with me to watch the show.

  • @integralmath I'll make popcorn for everyone!

  • @MrLordLaws: go watch the last video I put out. Sadly, there is a need to have this discussed. There is a non-trivial subset of the population who actually believe that all men are rapists, just many of us haven't found the right opportunity to prove it.

And sadly, that legitimizes actual rape victims, because it fails to distinguish between raped, and not yet raped but will be raped. That's because the population is roughly 50/50, and half of it is entirely rapists. It's grotesque.

  • @MrLordLaws: that's part of it. But I have mixed feelings about this series. I hate that I'm in a situation where the way I can best see to attack the fallacy actually involves my being sardonic on an issue about which I'm very passionate. But, I'm sorry, that women are raped, abused, oppressed, treated unequally is not an excuse to treat people who do them no harm as though we are the ones actually harming them. If I have to choose between being a rapist and saying no, fuck you. Fuck you wins.

  • @MrLordLaws: I do what I want to do - sometimes people enjoy it and come along for the ride. Other times not. I'm amenable to either outcome.

Plus, I get the benefit of reading poorly written hate mail, which really brightens my day. When I get well-crafted rebuttals, I know that' a clue that I might not have thought through things carefully enough the first time around. Rarely is this the case.

  • @MrLordLaws: no, like it says: Rebecca Watson (skepchick), Jennifer McCreight (blaghag) and PZ Myers' coterie of retards (pharyngula). Apparently, Richard Dawkins is even enslaving women right this second. He's having them raped the same as I am. We have so much power that resisting the actual raping of women causes it. It's a precarious universe in which we live.
