I wrote this film. I was in tears to see this trailer. I am honored by your words. I have made other films since but this old film is a passion Maybe it's time to remake it. The American veteran's are just as alone and abandoned as ever and perhaps this film would be another reminder. What do you all think? I would love to do it. My company, Filmworks is in Sydney but I am in the U.S. a lot and it was my home for fifteen years and a big part of my heart. Let me know your thoughts.

And, a farmer, soldier getting his farm repossessed? Sounds pretty similar to whats happening right now in the US...

I too saw this film in 1977 while in the army, in a little 16 seat theater on the DMZ in Korea, it really was a great movie but it also holds a special memory for me, my best friend (in Korea) that I saw the movie with was killed 2 hours after we left the theater. So please put me on the list of contacts if it ever gets released.

Code Red was supposed to be releasing this on dvd. I've e-mailed them several times trying to get some info on if or when it will be released, but apparently they could care less about customer service, as all e-mails have gone unanswered.

Thanks, watson722. I've sent several emails as well with no response. I have a feeling they didn't perform due diligence when it came to properly securing the rights to distribute the film on DVD. It can be a very complicated process (like a title search in the housing business) where participants can come out of the blue and claim they own the rights. You have to dot the i's and cross the t's before making such an announcement.

Unfortunately this film is on a lot of want lists! Produced by Milway productions in "77 then went defunct,bankrupt. Columbia Pictures bought the movie rights and locked it away in their movie vaults. Never has been released on vhs beta or dvd format. he farmer was originally rated "X", for all the graphic violence, it was then cut back to be rated the "R" that it is/was today! Hopefully Code Red will prevail soon and I await this great DVD release!

This movie is no longer going to be released by Code Red, the rights have been acquired by Scorpion Releasing. I e-mailed Scorpion about a tentative release date, and they said it would not be released in the next 12 months. The waiting continues...
